Anaheim Soldier Awaits 'D' Day and March To Berlin HEADQUARTERS, EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS. "We want to march to what is left of Berlin," is the chant of a group of infantrymen in England who are anxiously awaiting "D" day and the "chance to show the Nazis how tough we can be." Intensive training, covering every anticipated problem these men will meet on their "march to Berlin," has been given these soldiers. One feature of the drills these soldiers have gone through is a river crossing problem in which the men learn to get themselves and their equipment across streams and set up on the other bank in the shortest space of time. Drills with every infantry weapon, from rifle and bayonet to machine gun and mortar, long hikes and assault problems that are long and wearing, are all a part of the daily routine of these rough and tough soldiers.
