Sewers Needed For Local Red Cross
Sewers and cutters are urgently needed at the Red Cross production department, it was revealed this week by Mrs. L. R. Deering, chairman. The department is open every day in the week and the new quarters provide pleasant surroundings for those working.
The production department is now starting work on a new, big quota that must be completed soon and includes the making of bathrobes, bed jackets, bedside bags, men's pajamas and pneumonia jackets. Also 200 washcloths must either be made or donated.

The marriage of Miss Barbara Jeanne Lowary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Lowary of Anaheim and Cpl. Robert Henry Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Adams of Stockton, was solemnized last Friday evening at a pretty ceremony held at Easterbrook chapel, Santa Ana Army Air base. Chaplain O. S. Brown, USA, read the service.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and was smartly gowned in avocado green with which she wore black accessories and a corsage of orchids. Her pearls were the gift of the bridegroom.
The couple were attended by Mrs. Lucyle Musick, matron of honor and Staff Sgt. Richard L. Adams, brother of the bridegroom, best man. Ushers were Pfc. Beverly W. Adams, another brother, and Pfc. Glenn J. Gabler.
Following the reception the couple left for a brief honeymoon at Villa Marina, Beacon Bay. Upon their return they will make their home at 1807 N. Ross street, Santa Ana.
Mrs. Adams attended Anaheim Union high school, Santa Ana Junior college and Whittier college. Her husband attended Stockton schools and is now athletic officer at SAAAB.
