Hansen at his home, 1122 Diamond street, was a shock to family and friends who had believed that he was well on the way to complete recovery after a succession of operations. Mr. Hansen, a native son of Orange county, was born in Placentia 65 years ago and had lived almost continuously in this community. Only recently he had undergone several operations, but seemingly had recovered his normal health to the point where he had resumed work. Complaining of a slight illness a few days ago, he complied with his physician’s instructions by returning to bed, but it was not believed that his illness was of a serious nature, so that his family was not prepared for the suddenness with which death came. Sorrowing friends gathered yesterday afternoon in the Hilgenfeld chapel where the Rev. Ray Ragsdale, pastor of Fullerton Methodist church, conducted funeral services. These were followed by cremation. Mr. Hansen is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertha L. Hansen of the home; two sons and a daughter, Robert P. Hansen of Sacramento, Ernest V.
