COUNTRY FAIR PLANS
Huntington Beach—What was originally planned as a Garden Club Fall festival for Huntington Beach has developed into a three-day Country Fair which promises to draw attendance from all over the Southland when it is staged on September 14, 15 and 16. The fair meets with special enthusiasm locally, since it will go far toward replacing the 40th annual Fourth of July celebration at the beach city, cancelled by the army. It will be held in the Pavalon ballroom and the plaza will be setting for strolling street musicians, and a general early California fiesta. Townspeople are adopting costumes of the '49-ers as official dress for the event.
