City Moves To Keep Bus Line Going To and From Douglas For War Workers (Continued from Page 1) held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Vultee plant in Downey. Wife of Former City Engineer Dies Mrs. Jessie Harrison Steward, 74., a resident of Los Angeles for the past seven months and the wife of the late O. E. Steward, former city engineer of Anaheim, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. S. Bacon in Los Angeles Monday. She lived in and near Anaheim for the past 50 years before she moved to live with her daughter in Los Angeles. Surviving her besides her daughter are a son, Edward H. Burns of Santa Ana; another daughter, Mrs. Kenneth C. Newell of Pasadena; and six grandchildren Mrs. Steward was a member of the First Methodist church and was active in church work. Mrs. Hanson Gives Luncheon Yesterday Mrs. Jack Hanson of 118 West Sycamore street entertained six lady friends at her home with a lunchson and aftrnoon of sewing Wednesday. Guests were the Mesdames Ida Dawes, Vesta Lowe, Arleen Mahoney, Faye Arnold and Lelja Campbell, all of Anaheim, and Clara Fink of Santa Ana.
