Put On Your Easter Bonnet Sunday, Sis,
It'll Be Spring's Fashion Parade Day
(Continued from Page 1)
own with the disappearance of zippers because of the war. Buttons are becoming more a part of the dress design through color and cloth coverings.
EASTER OUTFITS
Easter outfits seem destined, definitely, to lean on the sporty side with all the nice frills and flounces taking a back seat.
Men's clothing is being offered in the lighter browns, beige and light grays. Grays and blues in suits, slacks of gabardine with light tweed sportcoats or slacks and the popular new loafer jackets make smart ensembles—hard for the well-dresser to pass up.
RUSH TO BUY
A rush is noticed to buy men's clothing because of the drastic changes caused by war production which are to affect men's clothing in the near future.
A word on women's hats: They are just as screwy as ever, according to a male observer. Bright colored straws at jaunty angles and a veil to clutter up things more tell the story.
SQR STORE
Foremost fashion for Easter at the SQR store is navy and black sheer dresses with big splashes of white organdy, embroidery and lace on the necklines and sleeves.
There are navy and black sheer fabric coats that you can wear over prints and make a perfect ensemble. Brilliant colored sheer rayon jersey dresses are very important for Easter and spring with printed giant floral designs on white are very stunning. Black designs and brown and yellow on turquoise with white designs on color are very popular.
The new Red Cross shoes should be a "must" on every wardrobe list. Fresh and lovely as your Easter corsage and a perfect accent for your Easter costume the shoes come in white with colors and solid colors of black navy and brown.
YUNGBLUTHS
Men's fashions at Yungbluth's are featured in double-breasted brown, soldier blue and tan suits. Gabardine is still popular with three button drapes being used in the sport coats with gabardine slacks.
Shirts in plain colors of beige, blue, green and tan are keeping up the pace set last year. Hats have large shapes with roll brims. Dominating colors are tan, blue and gray. Sport shoes in plain tans, browns and whites and two-toned sport models in tan and white and brown and white will dress up the men's fest this Easter.
