Mr. and Mrs Gilbert S. Davis of Ball rd. were hosts to relatives Christmas day. Those present included Mrs. Elizabeth Warrén of Riverside, mother of Mrs. Davis, and her daughter, Miss Ruth Warren; Misses Corinne and Nellie Warren, sisters of Mrs. Davis, of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Humphreys, son-in-law and daughter, of Buena Park; and Kenneth Corner, close friend of the family, of Los Angeles.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Brandon of 742 N. Clementine st. entertained ten members of both their families with a Christmas dinner.

HOME FROM NAVAL ACADEMY
Cadet Albert Caracausa, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Caracausa of N. Helena st., returned this week from the San Diego Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad. Cadet Caracausa is a freshman at the academy.
FAMILY REUNION
Rev. and Mrs. T. W. B. Demaree, parents of Paul Demaree of Anaheim, were hosts at a family reunion Christmas day at their home in Altadena. The Demarees from Anaheim and Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Demaree and family were present.
ANNUAL GATHERING
Although the unlucky number of 13 gathered at the C. C. Reinert home at 761 N. Clementine st. Christmas eve, a splendid time was had by all at this yearly family gathering.
Present were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Reinert and son, Junior, who is visiting here from Clearwater; Mr. and Mrs. Afton Reinert and son, Michael; Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Whitman and daughter, Jacqueline; Mr. and Mrs. James Reinert and the host and hostess.

Fifty Guests Honor Dr. Bride-Elect To Be Ma
Dr. Frances Hilgenfeld of Sacramento, who will be married on New Year's Day in the Evangelical church of the northern city, was complimented Friday afternoon by her mother, Mrs. S. F. Hilgenfeld, and her sister, Mrs. Robert S. Farrar of Santa Ana, with one of the loveliest of the pre-nuptial affairs planned for the bride-elect.
About 50 bidden guests gathered in the Hilgenfeld home on Broadway and Claudina sts. The event, in the form of a shower-tea, was uniquely arranged to carry out some of the traditions formerly planned for the wedding ceremony in the Southland.
SOFT MUSIC
Miss Lois Schroeder played the organ and provided a soft musical background for the singing of Christmas carols: She also accompanied musical numbers arranged by Miss Wilma Luhring, close friend of the bride-elect. Miss Schroeder played the organ at the marriage rites three years ago for Mrs. Farrar and four years ago for Mrs. Harvey Cecil Nunn of Sacramento, both sisters of the bride-elect.
Richard Luethke, cousin of the bride-to-be, played two pianums, "Intermezzo" and "Russian Romance." Other musical selections were given by Miss Leil Brown, violinist, playing "Will You Remember Me" and "I Love You."

CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER
Mrs. Hulda Granere and Everett Granere feted guests at a Christmas eve dinner. Members and friends of the family present were Vernie Granere, grandson of Mrs. Granere; her daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peterson of Culver City; son and his family, Clarence Granere, and Vern Moist and mother, Mrs. Edith Moist.
CHRISTMAS DAY
Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hein of 925 W. Center st. gave a Christmas supper on the 25th. Included as guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Peters, "Bud" Hein, Jess Sisk, June and Eva Mace and Barbara Lee Hein, daughter of the hosts.
Christmas eve, a splendid time was had by all at this yearly family gathering.

Around a centerpiece of cedar, red candles and greenery, sat a delicious turkey dinner and fifteen guests at the home of Mr. and C. G. Keller, of 701 N. Palm st. Christmas. Seated at the table were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Weaver of North Long Beach; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weaver of Anaheim; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Holbrook and daughter, Sheryl, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weaver of Southgate; Mrs. Naomi Snyder and son, Michael, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Black of Anaheim.
Later in the evening, a buffet supper of ice cream, fruit cake and coffee was served.

Rev. and Mrs. Thomas L. Burden of 506 E. Center st., entertained nine of their relatives on Christmas day. Guests were Mrs. Everett Braun and Mrs. Ic Hamlin of Inglewood; Mr. and Mrs. Oran Zimmerman, Mrs. Oran Zimmerman and another Mr. Zimmerman, all of Highland Park; and Mr. and Mrs. Burden, Boo Mrs. Braun and Mrs. Oran Zimmerman are daughters of the host.
The centerpiece for the dinner was in silver and blue colors.

Guests Honor Dr. Frances Hilgenfeld At Shower Here; Elect To Be Married New Year's Day In Sacramento
H. Stabbert, played the role of bridesmaid in a mock wedding procedure. She wore a floor-length formal and carried a lovely bouquet.
The bride, acted by Miss Marie Dargartz, daughter of Mrs. Roy Dargartz, was quaintly gowned in a bridal dress carrying the traditional bridal bouquet. Junior Hall of Westminster was ring bearer and carried a satin pillow placed on top of a white decorated box in which many small gifts were placed. These he presented to the feted guest after which other gifts were also presented to her. Bridegroom for the mock wedding processional was Michael Donoher of Long Beach, former patient of Dr. Hilgenfeld.
TEA-TIME
Tea-time followed the formal part of the afternoon with Mrs. Hilgenfeld, mother of Dr. Hilgenfeld, left Monday for the North where he will officiate at the marriage ceremony at 5 p.m. Thursday. Others accompanying him were Dr. Hilgenfeld's mother and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Farrar of Santa Ana.
Betty Hatch Is Bride of Earl Jordon After Nuptials at Buena Park Church
Miss Betty Hatch, daughter of Mrs. Clara Hatch of Buena Park, became the bride of Earl Jordon, son of Mrs. Minnie Jordon of 319 S. Philadelphia st., Anaheim, at the Buena Park Congregational church Sunday morning with the background of beautiful Christmas decorations. Rev. Cyril Hicks, pastor of the church, officiated.

Arthur Webb At White Temple Church
In a background of white snails dragons, chrysanthemums, parrots and four large white canes abra, Miss Mildred Marie Willett daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. West of 751 Zeyn st., and Art Michael Webb, son of Mr. Mrs. Ray Webb of Los Angeles were married in the White Temple Methodist church Sunday afternoon with Rev. Thomas L. Den, pastor, officiating.
Nearly 300 relatives and friends of the couple witnessed the ceremony.
BEAUTIFULLY GOWNED
Miss West was beautifully gowned in a delicate mystic rose satin. She wore a finger-tip gathered on top in a Juliet effect. She carried white garments, carnations and orchids, also the handkerchief of her sister Mrs. Claud West, to carry our "something borrowed" theme.
After Nuptials at Buena Park Church
Miss Betty Hatch, daughter of Mrs. Clara Hatch of Buena Park, became the bride of Earl Jordon, son of Mrs. Minnie Jordon of 319 S. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Jesse Hatch of Whittier. She wore for her wedding a navy blue suit with matching accessories and a pink rosebud and blue violet corsage. Miss Dorothy Hatch, sister of the bride, wore a brown suit with talisman rose corsage was maid of honor.
BEST MAN
Raymond Jordon served as best man and Mylet Horter and Roy Baldwin were ushers.
Mrs. A. E. Rayburn, Buena Park, was organist for the service and played the traditional wedding marches.
YOUNG COUPLE
Following the ceremony a reception for the relatives was given in the home of the bride's mother. The young couple left immediately for a honeymoon trip to Palm Springs and points East.

She will continue teaching in the Puente grammar school. The bridegroom is a graduate of Anaheim high school, Fullerton junior college. He is employed at Knott's Berry Place. They will live in their recently completed home at 614 W. Valley View, Fullerton.
HAS OPERATION
Miss Bety Flour, daughter of Mr. an dMrs. P. E. Fluor of 700 N. Clementine st., wa soperated for appendicitis Tuesday morning at St Joseph's hospital and is reported as "getting along fine"

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tyeman of 921 N. Sabina st. and children, Edwin and Maxine, were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Helberg in Santa Ana.
GUESTS OF THE POETX'
A very special Christmas decoration at the home of the Godfrey Poetz was a cookie Christmas tree. Guests present to see the lovely decoration and to enjoy a holiday dinner were Mr. and Mrs. George Walter and son, Billy; Bill Walter, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wippo, Mrs. Ella Wheeler and Miss Selma Poetz, al lof Anaheim; Mrs. Lois Sissel and Miss Frances Frederick of Los Angles.
GROUP AT THE HARPSTERS
In a festive atmosphere of red candles, berries, holly, a green Christmas tree and the aroma of pine mingled with turkey, guests of Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Harpster enjoyed a delightful holiday dinner Christmas day.
Those present were Mrs. Robert W. Gordon, mother of Mrs. Harpster of McKeesport, Pa., who is a visitor at the Harpster home; Robert W. Gordon jr., and daughter, Barbara Jane and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Skewis of Anaheim.
The Gordons are the brother and sister-in-law of the hostess and their daughter is on vacation from Stanford where she is enrolled as a freshman. Mr. and Mrs. Skewis are the brother-in-law and sister of Mrs. Harpster.
END OF YEAR BABIES
Five boys and one girl were born

The Gordons are the brother and sister-in-law of the hostess and their daughter is on vacation from Stanford where she is enrolled as a freshman. Mr. and Mrs. Skewis are the brother-in-law and sister of Mrs. Harpster.
END OF YEAR BABIES
Five boys and one girl were born during the last two weeks to Anaheim folk. A son was born at St. Joseph's hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Abbot of 113 Carlton st. on Dec. 18. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Martinez of 524 S. Lemon st. became the parents of a son at the Orange County hospital. Dec. 21 as did Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Owenby of 724 N. Olive st. A son was also born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rodrequez of 524 S. Lemon st., Dec. 21 at the Orange County hospital. The only girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. John E Cooke of Rt 1, Box 195 at St. Joseph's hospital, Dec. 22.
HOLIDAY VISITORS
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beier of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beier of Detroit, Michigan, are holiday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Renner of N. Olive st.
AT PELTZER HOME
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peltzer, parents of Victor Peltzer, were Christmas dinner guests at the Victor Peltzer home on Cerritos ave. Other guests were the host's sisters, Olga and Charlotte Peltzer, of Anaheim.

Guests Gather Sunday Afternoon For Tea
In Fullerton Honoring Anaheim Pioneers
The William Kroegers received a large number of relatives and friends at their home at 901 E. Chapman ave., Fullerton, Sunday afternoon as they celebrated their fortyeth wedding anniversary.
Mr. Kroeger is well-known in Anaheim and old-timers will remember him as the eldest son of the late Henry Kroeger, one of the early pioneers of the Mother Colony. Mrs.
Kroeger is a native daughter of Anaheim, the former Miss
Kate Oefinger.
FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS
Large floral arrangements of poinsettas and holiday flowers were placed in the room. Lovely potted plants, a group gift in the form of a coffee table and many other presents were given to the honored couple.
Mrs. Edward Oefinger presided at the tea-table where dainty refreshments were served. Assisting her were the honored couple's three daughters-in-law from Fullerton, Mrs. William Kroeger, Jr., Mrs. Roland Kroeger and Mrs. Edward Kroeger.
Mr. and Mrs. William Kroeger were assisted in receiving the guests by their daughter, Mrs. Arthur Spitzer, and Mrs. Colleen Brunworth.

NEWLYWEDS TO MAKE THEIR HOME HERE
News was received this week from the Wedding Manor of Los Angeles of the marriage of Mary Evelyn Wiley of Hermosa Beach and Harry Gene Seifried of Los Angeles, who will make their home at 735 Claudina st., Anaheim.
Mr. Seifried, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Seifried of Glennock, Wyo., is employed at the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. The former Miss Wiley, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. H. D. Wiley of Charron, Neb., wore a dress of crest blue with black accessories and carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and gardenias.
MAID OF HONOR
The maid of honor, Miss Edith Willoughby of Hermosa Beach, was dressed in a two-tone black and pink frock with pink accessories. The best man was Harry Rankin of Los Angeles.
Musical selections at the ceremony, solemnized by Rev. Homer Grimes, included "Intermezzo," "Little Gypsy Sweetheart."
