Mrs. Anna Klaus Called by Death
Mrs. Anna M. Klaus, 56, died at her home on Placentia avenue this morning. Born in Williamsburg, Iowa, she came to Anaheim in 1908. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock from Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars chapel, with Rev. H. G. Schmelzer, pastor of Zion Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be made in Glen Abbey Memorial park, San Diego.
Mrs. Klaus is survived by her husband, Emil Klaus; Two daughters, Mrs. Olga Fort of San Diego and Mrs. Alma Ann Stanley of South Gate; one grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Gesina Buhrman of Iowa; Two brothers, Herman Buhrman of Gardena and Henry Buhrman of Iowa; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Teggartz of Long Beach, Mrs. Bertha Anderson, Mrs. Doris Von Lienen, Mrs. Emma Franks, and Mrs. Sophie Hansel, all of Iowa.

Fourth Suspect is Jailed After Theft
Clyde Cummings, 23, formerly of Anaheim, and the fourth person wanted in connection with theft of an electric sewing machine from the home of Bose Russ, Route 4, box 30-A, Anaheim, several weeks ago, was booked at county jail in Santa Ana Tuesday afternoon by Sheriff Jesse L. Elliott on a burglary charge.
Cummings was arrested by the Bakersfield sheriff's office and Deputy County Assessor Fred S. Chapman, who accompanied the sheriff north.
Floating rocks are found in the Tennessee river.

Elects Officers
Mrs. Helen Berney was elected president of the Spanish-American War Veteran's Wardwick camp No. 100, auxiliary No. 96, held Friday night at the Odd Fellows' hall in Fullerton. The auxiliary is composed of Anaheim and Fullerton residents.
Other officers elected were Mrs. Nancy Kilgariff, Fullerton, senior vice president; Mrs. Beth Moore, Fullerton, junior vice; Mrs. Margaret Householder, Anaheim, chaplain; Mrs. Grace Hobbs, Fullerton, patriotic; Mrs. Mary Mann, Fullerton, historian; Mrs. Martha Russell, Anaheim, conductor; Mrs. Eva Dean, Anaheim, assistant conductor; Mrs. Clara Spitzen, Fullerton, guard; Mrs. Emma Arsuckle, Anaheim, assistant guard; Mrs. Christine Chandler, Fullerton, treasurer; Mrs. Emma Davis, Fullerton, secretary and Mrs. Vera Newton, Anaheim, musician.
Friday's meeting and election of officers turned into a Christmas party after the business session. Gifts were exchanged and a social evening enjoyed. The hall was appropriately decorated with Christmas appointments.
Plans for the formal installation of officers were made. It will be held January 22 at 8 o'clock at the Odd Fellows' hall in Fullerton.

Mrs. C. W. Austin was hostess Tuesday to the Las Amigas study at her home of West street for a delightful luncheon and Christmas party.
Mrs. Hollingshead Entertains Circle
Mrs. Charles Hollingshead of North West street was hostess Tuesday to 17 members and guests of the Ann Judson circle of the Calvary Baptist church for an all-day meeting.
White Cross work was the diversion of the morning and at noon the hostess served a lunch-on. Five members of the circle presented a skit in the afternoon. Mrs. Pearl Grange presented guests with a box of California fruits.

New Friendly Indian Tribes to Organize
Organization plans were discussed last night when several boys between the ages of 9 and 12 met at the YMCA for the Friendly Indian Tribe meeting.
Eric Baxter is the new culb leader and plans to establish a larger Friendly Indian club in Anaheim. The group is under the sponsorship of the YMCA.

Mrs. Austin Hostess To Las Amigas Study
Mrs. C. W. Austin was hostess Tuesday to the Las Amigas study at her home of West street for a delightful luncheon and Christmas party.
Gifts were exchanged at the opening of the program. Mrs. C. E. Chamberlain gave a talk on "The First Curch's Christmas Barrel," by Caroline A. Stanley. Mrs. Charles Schweinfest gave a Christmas poem. Mrs. Austins home was festively appointed in the holiday motif.
Enjoying the party were the Mesdames H. G. Harling, Stephen Barker, Frank Miller, Charles Schweinfest, H. G. Carlin, C. E. Watters, A. Jensen and William Small. Mrs. Barker and Mrs. Miller were special guests.
The next meeting will be held January 7 at 9:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Harling.
Pythian Sisters Have Yuletide Party
A festive Christmas dinner party was held last night by members of the Anaheim Pythian Sisters at the Odd Fellows' hall.
The affair began with a turkey dinner served at 6:30 o'clock. Miniature trees and candles were table appointments. The evening was turned over to games of 500, with prizes going to Mrs. Ellen Robinson and Clarence Robinson. Door prizes went to Mrs. Lillian Martin, Glen Potter and Horold Burns. Gifts were exchanged and a merry Christmas air made the celebration a successful one.
Forty members attended General chairmen were Mrs. Ed Marion, Mrs. Mary Hatfield and Mrs. Nellie Reinert.

Party Held Tuesday
More than 100 guests enjoyed the annual Christmas party at the club room Tuesday evening when the Anaheim Townsend club No. 1 held its annual celebration.
Mrs. Leah Pemberton was program chairman and presented Ella Mae Morris and Juletta McKim who sang two duets, "Joy to the World," and "Silent Night." Mrs. Morris sang a Christmas lullaby. E. Millar song two humbers.
An exchange of gifts was held and favors given out. The hall was decorated in the Christmas motif.
Mrs. Law to Head W. R. C. Social Club
Mrs. Nina Law was elected president of the A. B. Paul Women's Relief corps social club when it met at the home of Mrs. Mary Mitchell of South Los Angeles street for its annual Christmas celebration.
Other officers elected were Mrs. Mary Mitchell, vice-president, Mrs. Mary Ashenfelter, secretary, and Mrs. Pearl Fergus, treasurer. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Ethel Hopson and Mrs. Viola Taber.
An informal program presented by members wes given and gifts were exchanged.
Junior Ebell Dance . Planned Dec. 28
Announcement has been made of the Junior Ebell dance scheduled for December 28 at the Ebell clubhouse by Mrs. Virgil Harman, general chairman.
A good orchestra will furnish the music and the special attraction will be a famous dance team demonstrating "La Conga." Mrs. Dick Heffern is ticket chairman Mrs. Merle West, decoration chairman, and Miss Lois Boege refreshment chairman. The dance starts at 9:30 o'clock.
