Philip LaMonte Webb of Anaheim Miss Arnetta Carr Bride of Local Couple's Son Philip LaMonte Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaMonte R. Webb of 520 North Olive street, was married Tuesday to Miss Arnetta Elizabeth Carr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Carr of Rock Springs, Wyoming, at an impressive ceremony held at the First Methodist church in Rock Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Webb journeyed to Wyoming late last week to witness the marriage of their son. With them went Mr. and Mrs. Lennie Hayden (Irene Webb.) Mrs. Hayden was one of the bridesmaids. The two couples will return here tomorrow, and expect the new Mr. and Mrs. Webb sometime next week when they stop while on their honeymoon. The new Mrs. Webb is employed as a stenographer in Washington, D.C., and her husband is in the navy, being assigned to the yacht of Col. Frank Knox, secretary of the navy. Mr. Webb is a graduate of Anaheim schools, while his bride attended schools in Rock Springs. The couple will reside in Washington, D.C., after December 15. Retains Girl Scout Troop Wedding Party Guests at Dinner Rehearsing for tomorrow's wedding of Miss Anita Marsh and Walter Nankervis, members of the wedding party met Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. LeRoy Marsh. After a delicious buffet dinner, Miss Marsh presented a gift to her maid of honor, Miss Audrey Nichols of Los Angeles, and Mr. Nankervis gave a gift to his best man, John Nankervis of Garden Grove. During the rehearsal, Mrs. R. H. Marsh took the place of the bride-elect to dispel the "bad luck" tradition. Present were Mrs. C. A. Baldwin, Miss Audrey Nichols and Mrs. Thomas Harrigan, all of Los Angeles, Mrs. Walter Nankervis, John Nankervis, Mrs. Lulu Nankervis, Miss Pauline Houts, Mrs. Ruth Charleybois, Lester Schwager, Ed Allen, Miss Marsh, Mr. Nankervis and the host and hostess. Club's Directors Meet with Miss Case The board of directors of the Anaheim Business and Professional Women's club met Thursday evening at the home of Miss Irene Case in the Webster tract. During the business meeting, presided over by Mrs. Mabelle Hathaway, the year's program was discussed preliminary to the printing of the club year book. Decision was made to aid in the work of five benefit organizations and future meetings were announced. November 28 a progressive dinner will be held, with Mrs. Eva Boyd as chairman. Las Amigas Study To Meet Tuesday Announcement has been made of the next meeting of the Las Amigas study to be held at the home of Mrs. Clare Schweinfest, 124 North Janss street, Tuesday November 19, at 12:30 o'clock, and will be a pot-luck luncheon. Reafsnyders Guests At Family Dinner Miss Cecil Wimberly's Recent Marriage To Wayne Gough of Fullerton Cleverly Announced at Party Here Miss Cecil Wimberley's marriage to Wayne Gough of Fullerton was cleverly announced last Thursday when a gala party was given by Miss Gladys Merriman and Mrs. Myrtle Davis at the Capilla de San Antonio on highway 101. Invited to "La Cafe D'Amor" for "an evening of fun and frolic," guests were presented with tiny corsages as they entered, by Mr. Ellen Anderson. As all were seated, ready for the delicious dinner that followed, Miss Juanita Robson sang "I Love You Truly" and Mrs. Eleanor Baker presented miniature marriage licenses to the surprised guests. On the tiny scrolls were facts of the recent marriage. Miss Wimberly and Mr. Gough were married at Las Vegas, Nev., by the bridegroom's father, Rev. W. I. Gough of Fullerton, who with Mrs. Gough accompanied the couple to Las Vegas. During the main courses, guests were entertained by instrumental and vocal musical numbers. Participating in the program were Mrs. Mabel Beck, Miss Bernice Swain, Mrs. Dolores Harrison, Miss Juanita Robson, Miss Helen Johnson, Mrs. Charlotte Penticost and Miss Jean Campbell.
