Collins Asserts Experience Vital Legislative experience and the knowledge of legislative procedure is one of the essential factors necessary in a representative of the people in Sacramento, according to the Sam Collins for Assembly committee, who point to the candidate's four years of experience in the congress of the United States. It is common knowledge that any man elected as a member of the assembly without this experience, no matter what his other qualifications might be, spends his first term learning the things that an experienced man already knows, the committee claims. Collins, who is a successful attorney and citrus ranchers, served the 19th district in congress and saw active service with the army overseas and is a member of the American Legion. He is also affiliated with the Elks and Masonic lodges and is a member of the First Christian church of Fullerton. His knowledge of the problems relative to taxation in the state and experience as a legislator qualify him for the office for which he is a candidate, according to the committee.
