Fuehrer to Wage Commercial War
Santa Anan, Former Attache at Berlin, Forecasts Hitler's Plans
Hitler plans to engage in war with the United States if, and when, he conquers the Allied armies.
But it won't be a war of tanks and guns.
It will be a blitzkrieg against Uncle Sam's business customers.
That view point was expressed Saturday by James Parker Wilson of Santa Ana who recently returned to this country from Berlin where he was an assistant attache at the American embassy.
Wilson hopes now to be transferred to South America, where he believes this trade war will take place.
"America can win the trade war," he said, "but must be on its toes and fully prepared."
Wilson described—in diplomatic language—what would happen to this country if it were not prepared for such competition.
"They," he said, "would trade the pants off us."
None of the peoples of Europe are enthusiastic over the war now raging there, he said, adding there has been no flag waving or bands. The German people are resigned to such conflict and are supporting it, not for the sake of conquest but to get it over with as soon as possible, he said.
Wilson, a son of Frederick L. Wilson of Panorama Heights, will return to Washington Saturday, after he and Miss Dorothy Proctor of Santa Ana have been wed. In Washington Wilson will be in the office of foreign agricultural relations, department of agriculture.
How Goes World?

TELEVISION'S HERE—Nearly 2000 television sets are now in use in New York City. Half as many are in Chicago and Los Angeles. There three big sponsors of television equipment will soon be joined by six other companies. And, though only 22 stations are now permitted to telecast, 135 others will be in operation before the year is out.
England, France and Germany have had television for three years. But the United States has been kept behind, party because of the commercial status of U.S. broadcasting, partly by the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC has feared the public would buy sets thinking they will do for all time, whereas they would probably be out of date in a year or two. Observers have pointed however, to the early automobiles, many of which did not run far without needing repairs. Remember the first motion pictures? They were a series of jerky shots, poorly focused, but they were enjoyable.
Americans cannot imagine the thrills that are in store for them. In television, al lthe world's a stage; even the universe is included, for eclipses and other astronomical wonders can be telecast. Spectators may go to fires, travel along scenic highways, visit Congress. So thrilling has been the reception of some events in England that audiences have actually risen to their feet to cheer the finish of a race or to applaud a
Registration for County Increases
An increase of only 27 voters since the May primary was recorded when County Clerk B. J. Smith sent Orange county's voting registration records to Sacramento last week. The new total is 74,852, as compared to 74,825 for the May primary.
While the collective increase is but 27, the Republican party has gained 113 since May, and the Democrats have picked up 80 Defections from the ranks of other affiliations, and the group that previously declined to state an affiliation, have increased the two major party groups.
The "decline-to-state" group dropped from 1742 to 1716, and the Townsend registration dropped from 1493 to 1359, as Townsendites decided apparently to have a say in the matter of who shall go to congress. They have no candidates of their own.
Progressives dropped from 51 to 45, Independents from 49 to 47 Communists from two to one. Prohibition gained one, now having 253. The Socialist registration stood unchanged at 62.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCH
"Is the Universe, including Matter Evolved by Atomic Force?" The question is the subject of the Lesson-Sermon on Sunday in a Church of Christ, Scientist. The Golden Text is from Amos: "Lie he that formeth the mountain and createth the wind, and do clareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord The God of hosts, is his name."
Among the Scriptural selection are these verses about Jesus from Luke: "Now it came to pass on certain day, that he went into ship with his disciples; and he sailed unto them. Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And then launched forth, But as they sailed he fell asleep; and there can down a storm of wind on the lake and they were filled with water and were in jeopardy. And then came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water and they ceased, and there was calm."
The Lesson-Sermon includes also these statements from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy "Good never causes evil, nor creates aught that can cause evil... The manifestations of evil which counterfeit divine justice..."

Police Chief J. S. Bouldin yesterday received information from Lewis' Hit Beats Chrysler Motors
A 420-foot triple off the bat of Stew Lewis, new Anaheim first sacker, and an error on the throw over the plate at La Palma park stadium last Sunday and gave the Athletics a 4 to 3 victory over the Chrysler Motors. Lewis' blow came in the fifth inning.
Jim Glimpse, young portsider, needed the two-pitch relief hurling of Manager Joe Huarte in the ninth inning to grab the victory, his second in a row. The Brea-Olinda high school kid gave up two runs in the second inning, but hurled shutout ball until the ninth when a walk, a hit and an error gave the visitors one run. Another single sent Huarte to the mound, and on the second pitch Young smashed a liner back to the box and Joe tossed to Lewis at first for the double play that ended the tilt.
Both Lewis and Ray Amling, newest additions to the Anaheim club, looked good in their debuts. Lewis got two hits during the contest, and while Amling went hitless he performed well in left field.
