Seal Beach People Seek Erosion Fight
Seal Beach city council is studying a petition signed by 91 property owners along the Anaheim Landing peninsula which asks that the city purchase the strip of beach front now privately owned to open the way for construction of a breakwater to cut down erosion of the beach. The breakwater would be built with state or federal cooperation.
The petition pointed out that if the city acquired the beach front and took steps toward stopping erosion and building up the beach, it would some day own a fine wide strip of beach area for public use.
