A budget calling for expenditure of $1255 has been established for the event, which will be a one-day program on Friday, October 28. The festival will unofficially open Thursday evening with the grand costume ball. Friday morning’s first feature will be the breakfast, followed by the kangaroo court and other events. The horse show will be held in the afternoon and the parade at 7:30 at night. After the parade will be the street dance and the park entertainment. It was decided this morning to have the entertainment on the ball grounds rather than in the Greek theater. The United States Forest Service reports that big game on the national forests has increased at an average rate of 10 per cent a year since 1921. County Wins Power Plant Tax Debate The state board of equalization this week announced is assessment of machinery in the city of Los Angeles owner power plant at Seal Beach as only $6,000 less than the assessed valuation placed upon it by County Assessor James Sleeper. The decision saves the county about $40,000 in taxes. U.S. Webb, attorney general, ruled the towers and power lines at the plant are personal property and tax exempt. Tanks placed on the ground are considered improvements by Webb. Christian Endeavor Groups Plan Rally Christian Eneadvors of Orange county will gather at 7 o’clock tomorrow evening for a giant bonfire rally in the Santa Ana river bed just north of the Ocean boulevard bridge. Logan Wheatley of Fullerton junior college will be the principal speaker. Singing will be led by Paul Chamlee. Former Anaheim Youth is Killen A former Anaheim school Mertin Hunton, 17, was the victim of a traffic accident near San Diego yesterday. He was the sole Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Hunton moved from Anaheim to San Ana about five years ago. The youth was driving a truck owned by his father when it out of control, crashing again retaining wall and caught Hunton burned to death in a heroic efforts of his company Wendell Tedrow of Santa Ana free him from the wreckage. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow from Brown Wagner mortuary, Santa Ana addition to his parents. Hunton leaves a sister, Aura Gail Hunton at home.
