Davis, former assistant district attorney, yesterday filed his nomination papers announcing his candidacy for election as judge of the superior court in department One, opposing Judge H. G. Ames, incumbent. Davis is basing his claim for superior bench on more than 30 year spent in the practice of the law in Montana and California. The majority of that time has been spent in Santa Ana. Graduating from Central college at Fayette, Missouri, Davis entered the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where he received his degree of bachelor of laws. Immediately following graduation he went to Montana and practiced law at Billings for 15 years, where he served two terms as county attorney. He came to Orange county.
