Anaheim To Face Unbeaten Oilers
Anaheim, in second place, a game and a half behind the leading Huntington Beach team, travels to the coast tomorrow evening determined to be the first club to hand the Oilers a defeat this year in National Nightball league play.
The Valencias moved into the second spot Tuesday evening by virtue of their 4 to 1 victory over Brea while Huntington Beach was drubbing Santa Ana 13 to 4. In the latter contest Murray of Huntington Beach suffered a severe leg injury in a collision with Bomo Koral, Star catcher, and may be lost for the season.
Ted Neja and Rudy Heman teamed up to turn back the Brea Lions. Neja's rifle shot down the third base line with two mates aboard was good for four bases and three runs in the third inning. Heman hurled five-hit ball, beating Lynn Stewart's six-hit effort for Brea. Neja and Willard Bath, Lion outfielder, each got three hits, but the Anaheim flychaser's blows carried more punch.
In the other contests San Bernardino beat Whittier 5 to 1 and Irvine turned back Orange, 3 to 1. League standings:

Waltons Oppose Park Destruction
The fight to save Yellowstone National park from invasions for commercial uses, which has gone on over a period of years, bursts out anew with the introduction of S. 3925 by Senator James P. Pope and H. R. 10489 by Congressman Compton I. White, both of Idaho. These bills call for the building of a dam at the outlet of Yellowstone lake and a tunnel within the park for diverting water from the lake to a tributary of the Snake river for irrigation purposes in Idaho.
According to Charles Sellers, publicity director of the Anaheim Izaak Walton chapter, this proposal is more dangerous than any previous attacks against this first and greatest of national parks because of the precedent recently established over the league's protest by the authorization of the diversion tunnel through Rocky Mountain National park. In that case, however, the act creating the park contained certain irrigation reservations that made it vulnerable to attacks by special interests but according to national officers of the league, no such reservations apply to Yellowstone.
"It is just another instance of the vicious combination of selfish promoters and vote-hungry politicians to sacrifice America's heritage for local financial gain and political expediency," said Sellers, "and it should be vigorously opposed by every citizen of the United States."
The great primeval national parks are both by statute and precedent of 30 years free from all
Health Institute Scheduled June 9
A series of ten conferences on tuberculosis have been arranged in the state of California by Rena Haig, R. N., chief of the division of public health nursing, of the state department of public health, in cooperation with the California Tuberculosis association.
An all day tuberculosis institute will be held in the little theatre of the Santa Ana high school, Thursday, June 9, with luncheon at 50c per plate in the cafeteria.
While the programs are planned primarily for public health nurses, other interested nurses, physicians and lay persons are invited.
Miss Idabel Durgan, P. H. N., supervisor of nurses of the Orange county health department, will preside in the morning session when a tuberculosis clinician will present the medical aspects of the tuberculosis problem.

Over 8,000 poultrymen know the value of a right start. Less toxic, more food value. No Control Feeds to feed, Coxy worries overcome.
While nearly every major mill is knocking Fedco they still try to make a feed "Just Like-Fedco." Why not be safe and feed Fedco the Original Complete One Feed For All Ages.
It is just another instance of the vicious combination of selfish promoters and vote-hungry politicians to sacrifice America's heritage for local financial gain and political expediency," said Sellers, "and it should be vigorously opposed by every citizen of the United States."
The great primeval national parks are both by statute and precedent of 30 years free from all commercial or industrial uses. The present attempted raid would constitute a clear violation of the statute. The Izaak Walton League of America has consistently opposed all attempts to break down national parks standards and vigorously opposes the Pope and White bills.
