Packard Agency Opens Lot Here
Announcement was made today by Hill & Nealer, Northern Orange county Packard dealers, of the opening of a used car establishment at 326 E. Center street, Anaheim.
E. L. Crain and A. W. Saltwadel will be in charge of the new automobile market, it was said. Both have had wide experience in the automobile merchandising business.
Demonstrations of the new Packard six and eight will also be given at the Anaheim location of THE CHISELERS
From time immemorial there followed good years after lean years in cycles of seven. Nobody knows why and it is good that is so. Maybe the cheaters would horn in.

Officials Will Attend Session
Several Anaheim city officials plan to attend the meeting of Orange County League of Men's Palities being held this evening Tustin. Members of the Officers' Association of Orange County are meeting with league.
Sheriff Eugene Biscailuz of Angeles county will be the speaker. He will discuss cooperative between police, judicial and departments of the city.
Among those planning to attend from Anaheim are Frank Tauber city judge, James S. Bouldin, chief, Charles H. Mann, mrs. E. P. Hapgood, city engineer W. Martinet, Jr., council George Holden, city attorney Charles E. Griffith, city clerk J. Sheridan, councilman, Chief Pearson, councilman, and members of the police force.
Homecoming Day Church is Planned
Homecoming Day will be served next Sunday at the South Evangelical church, Center Helena streets, it was announced today by the Rev. S. E. Schrine minister. Former ministers will be in charge of the several services on that day.
The Rev. G. Husser will preach at the German worship at o'clock Sunday morning while English service at 11 o'clock be presented by the Rev. O. Schmid. The Rev. E. Burgi speak at the evening service

Joint Meeting of 20-30 Clubs Here
A joint meeting of the 20-30 clubs of Anaheim, Fullerton, Santa Ana and Orange was held Tuesday evening at the K. P. hall here, with Waldo Wilbern, president of the Anaheim club, in charge.
A talk on "Traffic Safety Education" was given by Larry Raymond, managing director of the Traffic Safety Service, Inc., of Los Angeles. Captain H. C. Meehan of the highway patrol also spoke briefly.
Entertainment was furnished by members of the Bel Canto club of Anaheim, under the direction of Mrs. Leah Pemberton.
Health Center for Babies is Planned
The regular well baby health center will be held Monday morning October 26, at 9 o'clock in the county nurse's office, second floor of the city hall over the police station, it has been announced by Imogene H. Abbey, county nurse.
Dr. E. L., Russell of the Orange county health department will examine the babies. The purpose of these centers is educational and they are not treatment clinics. They are for well babies only, it was emphasized.
Mothers are invited to bring their babies and under school age children for this health care, Miss Abbey declared.
Musicians Face Semi-Final Test
Griffith, Boege at Officials Meeting
City Clerk Charles E. Griffith and City Treasurer Charles Boege attended the meeting of the Southern California Association of Clerks, Auditors, Assessors and Treasurers which was held last Saturday afternoon at Fullerton.
The organization is affiliated with the League of Californias palities.
Hugh McIsaac, in charge squad of Los Angeles, was the principal spelling "Fires and Firefight." He told of the operation of fire-bugs being done to combat the Max Nichols, city aide.
Musicians Face Semi-Final Test
The Saxophone Quintet, composed of Allen Dale Twiggs, Chuck Borland, Les Rankin, Bill Hudspeth and Stan Logsdon, Orange county's entrant in the semi-finals of the "California's Hour" open talent tournament, will face arduous competition next Monday night when they renew their bid for radio fame and the $500 grand prize awaiting the tournament winner.
The saxophone quintet from Orange county will compete with a guitarist, three tenors, a coloratura soprano, an accordionist and a Redwood City housewife who plays tunes on water glasses. In addition to these, there will be the winner from Oakland and Alameda county, not yet announced.
The nine contestants will vie for prizes of $100 each and bids to the final competition, which will be awarded the two receiving the largest number of votes from radio listeners following the performance.
In addition to the Orange county semi-finalists, there will be: Hollywood and Beverly Hills—Nicholas Angelo, tenor; San Joaquin county; Carroll Austin, tenor; Tulare county, Veda Murphy, guitarist; Pomona and Ontario, Hollace Shaw, coloratura soprano; Kern county, Lloyd Combs, better known as "Little Mae", tenor; San Mateo county, Mrs. Mae Walford, who plays the "Hydrodak-tulopsychicharmonica"; Ventura, Frank Umbro, accordionist, and the winner of the Oakland and Alameda county salute broadcast last Monday night, not yet announced.

Two Schools Join Junior Red Cross
Announcement was made today of the enrollment for the first time of the Magnolia chapter of Junior Red Cross. Magnolia enslaed four rooms with 41 pupils and St. Boniface seven rooms and 241 pupils.
The Junior Red Cross member ship is on a group basis, each room subscribing to the Junior Red Cross News and pledging it self for service. Enrollment of Anaheim schools will be carried on in conjunction with the roc call of the Red Cross.
