Main St. — Phone 2818 Santa Ana or any Santa Fe Railway Agent Mrs. Paul Tedrick Hostess for Re-Union Group As a special welcome to her sister-in-law, Mrs. Stanley Peterson of Honolulu, Mrs. Paul Tedrick entertained with an informal luncheon at her home on North Clementine last Friday. Mrs. Peterson, and daughter, Karen Anne, plan to spend the rest of the summer in Anaheim. Many of the guests were schoolmates in Anaheim high school and since have traveled to different parts of the world. After the delightful luncheon, served at one table appointed in blue and further beautified with a bouquet of delphinium and phlox, the guests enjoyed a spirit of "remember when," recalling incidents of their early lives and exchanging facts. Mrs. Erick Winger Surprise Guest On Birthday Plans for a quiet evening with her husband and another couple were somewhat changed for Mrs. Erick Winger an evening week end on the occasion of her birthday. Members of the Minnesota study club and their hands surprised Mrs. Win when they met for an informal supper and social event at the city park. Two beautifully decorated birthday cakes were presented the surprised honoree, and served with ice cream after supper. Those present included best Mr. and Mrs. Winger, Mr. Mrs. P. C. Olive, Anaheim 1100 Grand, Buena Park Chispa Chapter Members Enjoy Bridge With Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron Jessie and Ralph Seward presiding at the regular meeting of Chispa chapter, Order of Eastern Star Tuesday evening in the Masonic Temple, announcement was made regarding the next meeting on August 11. At that time officers of other Orange county chapters will act as guest officers and the committees in charge are planning an extensive program for this courtesy night. This afternoon Mrs. Vincent Bruce is hostess to the officers of the chapter at a pot-luck lunchon, in the garden of her South Lemon street home. Games of bridge and "500" were played after the meeting, with Mrs. Vera Baum winning the cut for high score. Confectionery delicacies were served at the tables in lieu of the usual evening refreshments, as the dining hall is being redecorated. Supervising the work, M. W. Martinet states that he hopes to have the hall finished early next week. On the committee with Mr. Martinet—an Clyde Webb, a member of the Masonic oldge, who is doing decorating, E. Zitsman and E. R. Deering. The walls are being done in ivory, the floors are being re-finished and waxed, and new shades and cretonne curtains have been purchased for the windows. Y. L. I. Members Fete Convention Delegates An informal Dutch-treat buffet supper and evening of bridge was planned as a tribute to Miss Mary Ellen Chambers and Mrs. Adelaide McBride who were delegates of the Anaheim chapter of the Young Ladies Institute at the grand convention held in Los Angeles last week. Mrs. Mary Kirsch and Miss Beryl Kennedy were co-hostesses at the former's home on Ball road Tuesday evening. The dining table was beautifully laid, with an informal French bouquet as the centerpiece. Lovely gifts of toilet articles and a leather scrap book were presented to the guests of honor. For the bridge scores Miss Estelle Bastian and Mrs. Marie O'Neill received handsome awards. Among those present were the Mesdames Viola Jarvis, Theresa Bustamente, Agnes Heeter, Marie O'Neill, Opal Rimpau and the Misses Frances Backs, Irene Haverty, Nell Robertson, Marjorie Erickson, Marie Robertson, Elizabeth Queyrel, Eleanor Fotechman, Helen Leikhus, and Lucille Kopso. Miss Norma Brastad has as her house guest her cousin, Miss Agnes Newhouse of Minneapolis, who will spend the balance of the summer here.
