Vernon Schultz
In a bower formed by a lattice arch entwined with fern and blossoms with a white wedding bell in the center in the gardens of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Schroder of Lincoln avenue, Miss Laura Schroder became the bride of Vernon Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Schultz of Orange. The ceremony was read by Rev. H. G. Schmelzer of the Zion Lutheran church Sunday evening at 5 o'clock.
Mrs. Ray Mauerhan, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. H. G. Schmelzer, sang "I Love You Truly" and "O Promise Me" before the ceremony. Mrs. Schmelzer also played the Lohengrin wedding march.
Attired in a gown of white lace fashioned with a tight fitting jacket with long sleeves and a graceful train, the bride entered the gardens on the arm of her father. The little peplum of the jacket contrasted with the floor length fitted skirt of her dress and she wore a finger tip veil caught in a halo cap with a wreath of orange blossoms. Bride's roses and bouvardia comprised the bouquet.
Miss Evelyn Elser was maid of honor. Three-year-old Nadine Truempler was the flower girl.
Raymond Mauerhan attended the bridegroom as best man.
The bride is a graduate of Anaheim high school. Mr. Schultz graduated from Orange high school and is now employed with a lumber company in Laguna Beach where the couple will make their home.

comedy monodrama, "How Malindy Got Thin," which was splendidly given by Kathryn Gillilan.
Three of the beautiful poems of Ella Wheeler Wilcox were read by Helen Pifer. They were "Two Kinds of People," "They Say" and "Mistakes." Bringing to the stage another Oriental country, Lucile Nelman dramatized the story of "The Little Sing Song Girl," telling the heartaches of the Chinese girl who was educated in America and is rebelling against the ancient marriage custom of her fatherland. The scene was laid in the garden of the Violet Dragon Tea House on the street of Lanterns in Peiking.
The story of the modern college student and his "blind date" was cleverly enacted by Miss Ethel Mathis as she read Post's "A Young Man Looking for Trouble."
Monodrama: 'Physical Culture' by Hoyt. Scene: A gynasium, where a class in reducing is about to begin." With this program introduction Miss Mildred Gage, clad in a bright green gynasium suit of the style worn about the time the "dough-boys" were singing "Tipparary," demonstrated a class in physical culture. The "grace and ease" of the various exercises in this last number on the program drew the plaudits as well as unrestrained laughter of the audience.
These newest reductions will bring to patrons of Pacific Greyhound Lines the lowest base rates of travel in the history of California transportation, according to W. E. Travs reliedspCMFMF to W. E. Travis, president of the Company.
The new low fares are established on the following mileage basis which affords, the greatest savings for the longest distances not over 50 miles 2c per mile; not over 100 miles .019 per mile; not over 200 miles .018 per mile; not over 300 miles .017 per mile; not over 400 miles .016 per mile and for distances in excess of 400 miles .015 per mile.
Exceptions to the general fare base are made in sparsely settled or mountainous territory served by minor operations but even in such territory the new low fare benefits will be enjoyed by travelers to and from such territory, it is pointed out.
The new fares were placed in effect July 1 to stimulate vacation travel, Travis said, so that the greatest possible number of bus patrons will benefit from low travel costs.
the brief intermission Miss Togel, bedecked in blue costume, combined song lyrics as she told of Yo San's kindness to a wounded Singing "Yo San," "The Yo San" and "When the Blossoms Fall" she was united by her sister, Miss Angel, at the piano.
