"Probation after Death" is the subject of the Lesson-Sermon on Sunday in all branches of The Mother Church; The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Mass.
The Golden Text is from the First Epistle of Peter: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." Among the Bible selections in the Lesson-Sermon are these other words of Peter: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom to devour: . . . But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."
A passage from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, includes the statement: "Mortals move onward towards good or evil"
