"Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto my word. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me." These words of the Psalmist are the Golden Text in the Lesson-Sermon on "Man" on Sunday in all branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Mass.
The Lesson-Sermon presents these verses about Jesus., from Matthew: "And, behold there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days." Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other."
Among the correlative passages from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, are the statements: "Sickness, sin, and death are not the fruits of Life. They are harmonies which Truth destroys."

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, by the undersigned, Administrator with the Will Annexed of the
Honey Production In State Well Above Average In 1935
Honey production in California in 1935 was well above the average for the past five years, according to the annual report made public by H. M. Krebs, supervising apiary entomologist, State Department of Agriculture. Due to higher prices and an increased yield, the 1935 honey crop value almost quadrupled over 1934, the total value in 1935 being nearly $1,350,000.
Figures compiled by Krebs showed that about 22,115,000 pounds of honey represented the 1935 nectar harvest in this state, compared with 9,720,000 pounds in 1934, and 12,196,000 pounds in 1933. The 1934 total was considerably reduced on account of drought conditions.
A feature of the 1935 report are the figures showing the remarkable come back of the honey industry in Southern California, that district having been hit hard by the usually dry conditions. In 1934 San Diego County bees produced no honey, in fact it was necessary that honey be fed them to keep them alive. Last year, however, San Diego County bee colonies led the state in honey with a production of 4,2000,000 pounds.
A remarkable gain was also registered in Los Angeles County. In 1934 the honey yield of that county was 846,000 pounds. In 1935 the total was 2,944,000.
In 1934 Riverside County bees produced about 600,000 pounds of honey. In 1935 the yield was 1,755,000 pounds.
In 1934 San Bernardino County's honey total was 537,000 pounds. In the year just closed the yield was 1,591,000 pounds. The Santa Barbara County honey yield increased to 400,000 pounds in 1935, from 8,000 pounds in 1934.
The Orange County honey total in 1934 was 245,000. In 1935 it had advanced to 773,000 pounds.
The total for Ventura County bees in 1934 was 345,000 pounds. In 1935 that figure had been increased to 920,000 pounds. Krebs pointed out, however, that in case of Ventura and some other counties in the state, the total does not give the true production of honey due to the fact that many colonies from other counties are moved into Ventura, and other counties, from outside when the prospects of a fine honey flow are better in Ventura County than in the counties where they are owned.
The figures stated are for the production of the bees that are really kept in each county.
Other counties where the increase in honey production in 1935 was outstanding over 1935 included Alameda, Butte, Calus Contra Costa, Fresno, Imperia Kern, Inyo, Kings, Monere Sacramento, San Luis Obispo Shasta, Sutter, Tehama, Tulare Yolo.

SHIFTING SCENES
Now that the big hoss race in Sunkist west is over people are turning to the republican candidate for president. The balancing budget governor of Kansas has a big lead, but the other native sons are crowding in. There is plenty of good timber among the ranks and a dark horse might knock the persumption, or maybe they might name a fusion ticket and inherit a 35 billion debt.
