Miss Maas was chosen as president; Mrs. H. Bamesberger, vice president; Mrs. C. S. Troutman, secretary; Mrs. Fred Schaefer, treasurer; Mrs. Otto Geissler and Ed Grinnn, flower committee; Erwin Baumann, press chair; Mrs. Richard Elser, quilting man; Mrs. Erich Wingerand August Eltiste, membership committee; Mrs. H. H. Burdorf; Mrs. John Kahlen, visiting committee. Mrs. William Rolfsmeir acceded membership vows to the society and was greeted as a member. Plans were formed for a luck luncheon to be held at next regular meeting which be the anniversary dinner meeting. At that time the newly elected officers will be installed. Mrs. Carl Plegel, Mrs. H. Having been nominated by the committee, which included Mrs. Pameia Mills, chairman, and Mrs. M. D. Falconer and Mrs. E. F. Spencer, Mrs. F. A. Altenow was elected to serve as president for another term. Other elective officers include Mrs. R. Graaf, vice president; Mrs. George Watts, secretary; Mrs. Agnes Bates, treasurer; Mrs. T. H. Walker, secretary of missionary education; Miss Nettie Aubert, secretary of literature and Mrs. B. G. Schlosser, contingent treasurer. Appointive officers will be named at a later date. At the close of the afternoon the hostesses assisting Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. George Minder, Mrs. Daniel Mcfaul, Mrs. Fannie Goddard, Mrs. Andrew Minder, Mrs. Winifred Bell, Mrs. S. B. Hapgood, Mrs. Hannah Francis and Mrs. Lena Maurer, served refreshments in keeping with the week's holiday season. Mrs. C. C. Reinert To Complete Unexpired Term At the meeting of Circle two of Co-Workers Class Of Church Hold Dinner Combining the Valentine and patriotic holidays of the month as the setting, Mrs. L. Earle Phillips, dinner chairman; Mrs. Holly Markle, program chairman; and Mrs. Sydney Hopcroft and Mrs. Paige Vincent on the decoration committee were highly complimented for the great success of the annual turkey dinner of the Co-Workers class of the Presbyterian church. Over 300 members and guests attended the dinner at the class auditorium Friday evening where silver branches bearing red hearts intermingled with George Washington hatchets and other favors appropriate to the occasion. During the group singing of the opening songs, led by Dr. William Wicket, with Mrs. Alice Baker Bovee playing the piano accompaniment, Mr. Markle called Dr. H. A. Johnston, the class teacher, at his home where he was ill and unable to be present, to listen in on the opening of the program. All present expressed their regret at the absence of Dr. Johnston. As program chairman, Mrs Markle, introduced Miss Alice Ashley and Robert Baker who sang "Drifting" and "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life" in duet. As a comic touch to the program Fred Engle gave several readings, including an impersonation of Joe E. Brown's story of the little mouse, and a Milt Groos' story of Jack an dthe Beanstalk. The guest speaker for the evening was the Reverend F. E. Hawes of the First Baptist church of Fullerton. He gave a very splendid talk on the value of personal evangelism in Christian Appreciation Service Planned Christian Church With the coming of a change of rain the Anahetian Church at Broadway Helena is planning a "Service of Appreciation" be held this next Sunday the main auditorium of the starting promptly at 7:40. The specially arranged program was opened by Mrs. Ethel Cronwall reading from "The Restoration and Maintenance of Mount Vernon" by Harriet C. Townser. "Mother of Lincoln" by T. R. Carskadon was read by Mrs. O. E. Steward. Miss Viola and Miss Lily Johnson played a group of request numbers, including "The Stars and Stripes Forever," "The Indian Love Call," and others appropo to the occasion. Bakers Entertain J. O. Y. Class Friday Evening Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Baker were host and hostess to the J. O. Y. class of the Church of Christ at their home on West Broadway Friday evening. The study topic centered on the outstanding features of Lithuania, with Miss Lucille Van Zee leading the discussion. Members who participated were Miss Pearl Pebley, Miss Alice Becker, Miss Louise Craven, Miss Evelyn Leib, Miss Merle Pebley, Mrs. Grace Van Zee, Vivian Held, Laurin Salkeld, Warren Baker, Earl Miils, Bob Otta, George Watts and Edward Van Zee. Others present for the evening were Miss Marjorie Carlisle, Miss Ida Marie Carle, Miss Ruby Wilbern, Mylet Porter and Earl Jordan. At the next regular meeting the group will take up the study of Arabia. After an evening of educational and inspirational porgram refreshments were served by the hosts. It will be held this next Sunday night in the main auditorium of the Church starting promptly at 7:40. A String Trio composed of Margaret and Naomi Carlin and Mrs. K. E. This picture, which will be shown with the beautiful musical accompaniment, is the only one of the Passion Plays on the Life of Christ ever actually taken in Palestine, Egypt and Europe. It is being shown in the larger churches throughout the world and Reverend Harker feels that he is fortunate indeed to have secured these films for the people of Anaheim.
