Joe Elliott hoped me the other day and said Night Ball League . . he said something about national but I ask he meant Anaheim . . Anyway , he said that I could be writing editor for the Gazette, if wanted to, and I said all right so right away I asked him for bass . . and after a little humming and hawing . . he said no so then I asked the boss forense money to take in the cases and after a little humming hawing HE said no . . so now I am all fixed in that respect going to see my pal (?) Rudy Joe and ask him to see Rudy Rosen and see if I can get a older and a selected tree and I'll report all games in the league . . Course I underd that you have to go to night pool to understand night sports will arrange with my mentor Mel Gauer . . to open up a class in Fremont School to teach subject . . I have a new title. They tell me they are going to appoint a new commissioner of night baseball . . well I nominate Ted Kuchel . . don't know whether he knows anything about baseball . . but he used to be a good football player . . that is so I understand. Seems like the police force took my suggestion last week seriously and now they have asked for a donation from all you good readers . . if you have an old fountain pen that you're about to throw away . . call up the police station and Jim Pifer will dispatch Ross Sidebottom or Fay Barnett to get them . . they want 'em so they can practice holding a pen . . the principal objection raised by Cap Andrade and Patrolman Cheatum is that they get ink all over their fingers . . but they'll get over that. Speaking of Fay Barnett I could tell a funny bank story . . but then I won't . . and besides Jim Bouldin refused to break into the bank so that is that. The members of the fire department are wondering when I am going to mention them . . well they haven't done much to write about . . and when they are working they're usually all wet unless somebody puts the fire out before they get there. Seems to me I had something else to write about this week . but I can't seem to remember what it was . let's see now . umum- Landon Clubs Are Planned, So. Cal.
