Garden Club Resumes Meets During the summer months the meetings of the Garden Club were dispensed with, but, the members upon meeting again last week end found that interest in their chosen field of endeavors had not lessened. As their first meeting of the fall season the ladies met at the home of Mrs. Perry Mathis, their president, at her home on Ball road. Plans for the new term program were discussed, and topics were assigned for each meeting. Officers selected to serve this year are Mrs. Mathis, president; Mrs. Herman Graff, vice-president; Mrs. George Hatfield, secretary and treasurer, and Miss Maud Comstock, librarian. The members present enjoyed a varied program, with interesting remarks from Mrs. Graaf, Mrs. Gathas and Mrs. Hatfield on their past summer vacation trips. At the next meeting Mrs. Gathas will be hostess to the club. Mrs. D. D. Charp, Mrs. Pamelia Mills, Mrs. F. K. Day, Mrs. Dora Pearson, Mrs. Earl Spencer, Mrs. Roy Knapp, and Mrs. M. D. Falconer, tell us that there will be a large selection of articles to choose from. Clothing, novelties, antiques, furniture, rugs and many other articles will be on sale at reasonable prices. PATHFINDER (Continued from page 1) McCLOSKEY FIGHTS HERE Speaking of prize fight men years ago they gave a boxing match here in the old Reiser opera house between a husky 180 pounder of Fullerton and a man named McClosky of Los Angeles. The local boy was in the pink of condition but was knocked out in the first round by McClosky who had a whistling right. As the fans were leaving the hall, the local man came to and rushed around the ring, exclaiming, "where is he, I can lick him, let him come on." "Oh, heck," dryly remarked his trainer, "he's half way home by now." Homer A. Nelson, Opt. D. OPTOMETRIST Phone 3104 114 N. Lemon St. Annaheim, Calif.
