Baptists to Hold Missions School
First of six School of Missions classes to be conducted at the Calvary Baptist church will open at the Calvary Baptist church Sunday evening at 6:15 o'clock, Rev. Virgil K. Ledbetter announces.
The first quarter hour will feature stereoptican slides of home and foreign missionary work, with the following hour being devoted to class work under three general classifications, with R. J. Dugdale presiding over the adult class; R. J. Orange over the young people's class; and Mrs. Florence Kerr over the junior and intermediate classes.
A general assembly will follow the class work, with a visiting missionary as speaker, Dr. Walter E. Woodbury of Los Angeles, field secretary of the Southern California Baptist convention, will speak at the concluding assembly on March 4.
Confirmation Class at St. Michael's Now
Classes for preparation for the confirmation at St. Michael's Episcopal church now are under way, Rev. D. Howard Dow, rector, announces. Adults meet Sunday evenings at 7:30 o'clock and children Monday afternoons at 4 o'clock in the Parish hall. Anyone interested is invited. The bishop will confirm early in Lent.
The rector will preach a series of sermons beginning Sunday, the first entitled "The Rector, as Administrator, as Priest, as Pastor, as Preacher."
Demonstration Car Here Friday P. M.
Paul Davidson, owner of Superior Radio Service on West Center street, announced Thursday that a Crosley demonstration car will be in front of his store Friday afternoon, for the convenience of persons wishing to see a complete line of radios and refrigerators.

Mrs C. E. Holcomb and her sister, Miss Doris Zeyn, were in town from Pullerton a few days ago and spent the afternoon with friends.
James Rimpau came down from Hollywood yesterday and visited with his sister, Miss Sophia Rimpau. James believes in replenishing the earth, and has three children and four grandchildren. He is a leading businessman at Hollywood and is doing very well.

Scouts Plan Honor Court Friday Eve
Anaheim's five regular Boy Scout troops and one Cub troop will take part in the court of honor to be held Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock from the Frmont school auditorium, according to announcement of Commissioner R. W. Waltz this week. The troops will parade from the city hall to the auditorium, with the Anaheim Legion drum and bugle corps leading. An elaborate program has been arranged.
Executive committee include: Dr. Waltz, commissioner; M. A. Gauer, chairman of executive board; Judge Frank Tausch, J. W. Newton, Ed Millis, Harold Keirsey, W. P. Webb, Kenneth Peck, Rudolph Boysen, M. W. Martench Art Shipkey, E. R. Deering, Harry Pearson, Clyde Childress, and Fred Weisel.
Chas. King Players At Capitol In L. B.
Orange county drama patrons welcome the announcement of the advent of the popular Chas. King Players, who begin an indefinite engagement at the Capitol Theatre in Long Beach, Wednesday evening, January 31.
The company, the principal players of which are now in rehearsal, is headed by Ben Erway, young leading man who registered a recent hit with the Duffy Players of Los Angeles; Laurene Tuttle, titan-haired leading lady also formally with Duffy and Moroseco; Katherine Wayne, for long a favorite character woman in Pacific coast circles, and Virginia Thornton, Fredrie Storm, Arthur Loeff, and Howard McNear. The opening play will be "Your Uncle Dudley."
The stage plays will be presented each night at 8:00 P.M. and will be given in conjunction with a full program of first run screen entertainment. One show will be given nightly, the Radio Association Meeting February
Next meeting of the Northern Orang County Radio Sales and Service association will be held February 1 at 7 p.m., at the Anaheim Electric store West Center street, President Pat Davidson announced this week. The organization was formed ten days after for the purpose of improving the ethanol service of radio and electric stores in this district. All radio and electronic dealers and salesmen are invited to attend.

SEEKS $50,335 DAMAGES
C. C. Carico, burned severely by a live electric wire blown down near his home at the Orange county park during a storm on November 5, Wednesday filed suit seeking $50,335 damages from the Southern California Edison company.

Avocado growers are invited by Chairman A. R. Marshburn of the farm bureau avocado department to attend a mass meeting to be held at the bureau offices, Santa Ana, Monday at 10 a.m. Purpose is to select representatives to a Southern California avocado committee.
