Pro-Rating Plan Effective Soon Final success of organizing 90 per cent of the valencia growers for the purpose of controlling shipments and stabilizing the market was announced Wednesday following a meeting at the Orange county farm bureau in which representatives of the California Fruit Growers Exchange, Mutual Orange Distributors, and leading independents agreed upon terms. The control plan goes into effect next week, with a meeting scheduled for Friday by the executive committee to determine the number of cars to be shipped under the pro-rating plan. The following independents joined the move: C. C. Chapman of Fullerton; Gold Buckel association, headed by J. S. Edwards of East Highlands; Gold Banner association, headed by C. M. Brown; Spence Fruit company, headed by C. O. Banks of Monrovia; and Oscar Cave. MEETING POSTPONED Anaheim De Molay meeting, scheduled for Monday evening, was postponed until June 27, on account of the junior-senior reception at the high school. Purpose of Better Film Drive Is Told "Regulation and Control of the Motion Picture Industry" was the subject of Gustavis Schneider of Riverside, who was to address a mass meeting of Anaheim residents at the White Temple M. E. church Thursday evening to "educate" the people on purposes of the Orange County Better Film association movement. The meeting was arranged by Superintendent M. A. Gauer of the city public schools and Dr. H. A. Johnston, both directors of the association. Local Men Leave to Prepare Y. M. Camp Four Anaheim men Wednesday joined similar groups from Orange, Santa Ana Fullerton to go to Y. M. C. A camp Osceola in the San Bernardino mountains to do preliminary work before opening it for the summer to accommodate various groups of boys. ORDINANCE NO. 564 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22-A OF ORDINANCE NO. 476 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DEFINING ITS POWERS AND PRESCRIBING ITS DUTIES; CREATING THE OFFICE OF CONTROLLER OF SAID DEPARTMENT. DEFINING ITS POWERS, PRESCRIBING ITS DUTIES AND FIXING HIS COMPENSATION; ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC AND WATER SERVICE AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTING THEREOF; SPECIFYING THE MANNER OF MAKING APPLICATIONS AND DEPOSITS FOR SUCH SERVICE AND OF HANDLING DELIQUENT PAYMENTS; PRESCRIBING CERTAIN RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE INSTALLATION AND USE OF ELECTRIC AND WATER SERVICES, AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF; AND ABOLISHING THE OFFICE OF RATE COLLECTOR OF SAID CITY."
