Suggest Safety for New Scholso
Recognizing the impossibility of removing all traffic hazards to children going to and coming from school, the California committee on Public safety will seek the support of school authorities in a policy of locating school buildings at other points than on boulevards and similar main arteries of travel.
The committee found there is a trend toward erection of new buildings to replace old ones. It was decided to encourage the erection of new schools at points where children attending them would be confronted with a minimum of danger from traffic.

Pay Now or You'll Pay Double, Warning
Pay now or pay double later.
Motor vehicle owners of California were given this warning by Russell Bevans, registrar of the department of motor vehicles.
Bevans reminded the motorists that the fee for all who apply for 1932 license plates after Sunday, January 31, will be just double the regular fee because the delinquent penalty required by law will become effective February 1st.
“If anyone is late it will be his own fault,” said the registrar, “Everybody has had plenty of warning.”
The motorist who waits until February 1st to apply for plates will pay $6 instead of $3 if he owns an ordinary passenger car. If he owns a commercial vehicle that takes a registration fee of $20 his fee will be $40.
Anyone may secure plates by going to any branch office of the department of motor vehicles or of the auto clubs and presenting his certificate of registration and fee.
