Lyon and her sister, Miss Margaret Higgins, of Hollywood, spent the week-end in Anaheim as the guests of Mrs. Joseph Helmsen. They made a tour of Europe last year and said that everywhere they went they were asked a multiplicity of questions, as to whence they came, how long they would remain, "Why are you here?" and many other interrogatories. The two visitors suggest that a plan of inquiry if this kind might work advantageously in the United States, where it is being found necessary constantly to deport thousands of undesirables. The tour of the two American travelers through Europe was uniformly pleasant, they said, although they encountered torrential rainstorms in nearly every section visited. Business Women See "Shanghai Gesture" Forty members of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Anaheim formed a theatre party which attended "The Shanghai Gesture" in Los Angeles, last Thursday evening. A Motor Transit bus filled with 23 club members, and a number of autos made up the caravan. The party was organized by the Misses Mary Millerick, Lillian Lund, Theodora Frahm and Retta Schweiss, and the merry delegation attended a supper after the performance at the Music Box theatre.
