We find that these principles, aided at all times by courtesy and service, win friends, and we’re here to win friends.” When sales in the Norwalk district, which normally had been about $2,000, jumped to several times that for similar given periods, Southeast Distributors, Inc., drew the attention of President J. D. Tew, of the Goodrich Rubber company headquarters at Akron. While he was visiting the company’s quarters on the Pacific coast a few weeks ago, President Tew visited Mr. Thomas and Sales Manager Floyd Wells, and complimented them upon their achievement. Success such as you have attained within the last six months proves beyond a question that intelligent direction and initiative is rewarded. You men have done what it is possible for many others to do. Your initiative has known the way for other agents of the company. I like the initiative that will California in the total number of deer killed during the 1:30 season, with 1,483, the report showed. Saskiyou county was next with 1,572. Modice county third with 1,129. Tulare county fourth with 965, and Humboldt county fifth with 917. In Los Angeles county a total of 637 deer were reported killed, as compared with 691 for 1929, 369 for 1928, and 424 for 1927. “On the whole,” the statement concluded, “the returns show a very healthy condition throughout the state.” Christmas Seals at Half of Quota Anaheim’s quota for the Christmas Seal sale was placed at $2,500.00 by the Orange County Tuberculosis Association. Outside of Santa Ana, this is the largest quota of any town or city in Orange County. Up to date just one-half of the amount has been subscribed. The sale closes on Christmas Eve and the local committee is anxious to have Anaheim go over the top. The Orange County Supervisors have given their unqualified approval of the Seal Sale, and of the Health Camps maintained by the Association. President Hoover, Gov. Young, and Gov-Elect Roph have joined in asking the people to help this great work. Have you done your bit? The Anaheim committee in charge of this work is as follows: Rev. D. The number of deer killed this year was also a gain of 12 per cent over 1928 and 25 per cent over 1927. The statement shows 90 deer killed in Orange county during the season this year. "The kill, of two, three and fourpoint bucks has remained the same for the four years the deer tag law has been in effect," said Fred G. Stevenot, director of the state department of natural resources. "Of all the deer killed each season approximately 46 per cent are twopointers...30 per cent three-point, and 24 per cent four-point and over." Mendocino county led all counties in William N.
