F. Topliff Heads Morris Plan Co. Williams Plan Firm Bought by Pasadenans and Renamed; Offices are Remodeled Installation of a new vault, new steel counters, and redecorating and remodeling of the offices of the Morris Plan Company of Orange County this week was completed following re-naming of the Williams Plan company late last week. Offices are located at 119 North Los Angeles street, Anaheim. Fred G. Topliff, who has had years of experience in New York with the Morris Plan, is president of the local firm, and plans expansion to Santa Ana and Fullerton. Smiths & Sons Reserve Corporation Ltd., of 575 East Green street, Pasadena, purchased the Williams Plan company and changed the name to the Morris Plan Company of Orange county. The original capital has been increased. Elsie D. Schrank remains as manager of the new firm, with Elsie Auer as her assistant. Hulet P. Smith, secretary of the company, has general supervision of the Smith's interest in Orange county. Mr. Smith also is in charge of the real estate loan activities of his organization in this county where it is loan representatives for the Purdential Insurance company. Other Morris plan offices of the organization in Southern California are located in Redlands, San Bernardino and Ontario. With our unemployment problem it would not appear that we should be called upon to solve the European problem. You never hear of any kid trying to win an endurance record by sitting at a school desk.
