Condee, president of the fair board. Fifty of California's 58 counties have already reserved space in the main exposition building and have started planning their displays, Condee said. It is expected that the other eight will complete their plans for participation within the coming month. "In addition to more than $10,000 in horticultural and agricultural premium awards, the counties will compete for 20 attractive trophies to be awarded for feature exhibits," Condee said. "The attendance at the 1929 State Fair, totaling more than 430,000, demonstrated that one of the very best methods for a county to advertise its resources and advantages is through an exhibit at this exposition." Reports by Frank H. McConnell, field representative of the fair, to Charles W. Palne, secretary-manager, show that counties are already planning their displays. Southern California counties, specializing in citrus and subtropical fruits, will be represented 100 per cent. Amador county has doubled its space to accommodate an exhibit of scenic, recreational, fishing and hunting reSOURCES. A miniature redwood building and specimens of redwood timber will be conspicuous in the Del Norte county booth, which will also display a 50qound salmon, caught with light tackle. Humboldt county, with an agricultural and redwood display, and Kings county, featuring cotton, oil and agriculture, have booth taken larger space. Mariposa county will combine a mineral showing with Yosemite valley. Modoc county, which entered the fair for the first time last year, received so many favorable reports that it Most Styles $10 Fit" BLUTH FFNER & MARX Manhattan Shirts Stetson Hats A miniature redwood building and specimens of redwood timber will be conspicuous in the Del Norte county booth, which will also display a 50-qound salmon, caught with light tackle. Monterey county, winner of 57 awards in 1928, will enter an exhibit principally of field crops. Other county exhibits will include the following. Plumas, agriculture and mining; San Luis Obispo, flowers and field products; Sierra, gold and minerals; Sonoma, scenic and recreational resources; Sutter, farm and orchard products; Trinity, scenic attractions and trout fishing resources.
