Rehearsals begin On 8th Romona Pageant Hemet, April 17—Rehearsals for the eighth annual Ramona Pageant to be presented in the Ramona Bowl, a natural amphitheater south of Hemet, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, April 26-27; May 3-4 and May 10-11, were started this week by Phil Whiting, Pageant Director, Mr. Whiting is directing this spectacular outdoor drama for the second season, having last year succeeded the late Garnet Holme to that position. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Adams, Mrs. J.P. Brastad and Mrs.W.D.Grafton left on Wednesday by motor to visit Oregon State College at Corvallis where Miss Martha Adams, Roderick Brastad and Billy Grafton are students. Miss Elizabeth Siegel will sing in Universal pictures on a contract beginning this week. One astronomer says that the new planet recently discovered is only one-thirdleth as big as the earth. Think how crowded they must be for parking space. Since the failure of the London conference can't be blamed on the late Mr. Shearer, it will have to be loaded on Uncle Sam for not sinking his navy and agreeing to fight whenever our European neighbors go to scrapping.
