ONCE THERE WERE TWO CHINAMENNOW I REHEMBER IT-THERE WERE THREE CHINAMEN FOOLISH QUESTIONS-NO.5 IS "MURDER" BEING SHOWN HERE? "MURDER IN SIX REELS NOW PLAYING" Rug Burglars County Realtors Rug Burglars Still Are Active Kahly Home, Near Katella Ransacked Wednesday Night The home of E. Kahly, Palm avenue, near Katella road, was entered and robbed early Wednesday night, while members of the family were away from home. It is the fifth robbery within the last ten days accredited by officers, to the "rug" burglars, who, in each instance, have stolen rugs from the %oors of the homes they have entered. A Wilton rug 9 by 12, was added to the robbers' loot Wednesday night in the Kahly burglary, and a large number of other valuables were also taken, including two strings of pearls, one a 22-inch string and the other a 10-inch string; two suits of clothes, one gray and one brown; one gray hat; a dress; a valuable German violin and case, and a pair of tan shoes. Sheriff's officers began an investigation, which they hope will lead to clues that will identify the thieves. Clews found in the Kahy home identify the thieves as the same who entered the Kopfer home, in Anaheim, the Benfield home, in Anaheim, the Rohr home, in Orange, and the Gerhking home, Villa Park, according to officers. Rugs were taken from all of these places. That the burglars are professionals, is indicated, officers said, by their boldness. In more than one instance they have worked by electric light, after pulling down the shades in the houses entered. Their loot has been so heavy in a number of the robberies that they apparently used a large car or a small truck to carry it away in, and always they have worked while members of the family were away and generally early in the night. Another unusually large robbery was reported to the Sheriff's office by Julius Rath, 2134 South Broadway, Santa Ana, who reported that his home was entered by thieves on the night of November 30. The house was ransacked throughout and the loss probably was heavier than any reported this year. Rath was moving to Santa Ana from Long Beach and had stored only part of his household furnishings in the new house. Rath was in Long Beach at the time of the robbery. Among the articles taken were two rugs, six napkins, kodak and case, two thermos bottles, alarm clock, mantel clock, three fountain pens, reading device. Notice to be given by publication in the Anaheim Gazette. Bids will be received up to 11:00 a.m. December 29th, 1925, for the construction of a new bridge and extensions to existing bridges and culverts on the Santa Ana Canyon road, fourth road district. Notice to be given by publication in the Orange Daily News. It was ordered that certain assessments, assessed in the name of W Edgar Black, cancelled. Commissioner appointed reported to the sheriff's office by Junus Rath, 2134 South Broadway, Santa Ana, who reported that his home was entered by thieves on the night of November 30. The house was ransacked throughout and the loss probably was heavier than any reported this year. Rath was moving to Santa Ana from Long Beach and had stored only part of his household furnishings in the new house. Rath was in Long Beach at the time of the robbery. Among the articles taken were two rugs, six napkins, kodak and case, two thermos bottles, alarm clock, mantel clock, three fountain pens, reading glasses, a number of cuff buttons and tie pins, eight one-ounce bottles of vanilla extract, three calf skin suit cases, six silver forks, two flashlights, pearl handled pocket knife, opera glasses, silver stamp box, one dress, coat, a number of books and a box of pencils. Entrance into the home was made by breaking a window on the east side of the house, according to a report made by officers who investigated. Burned matches were strewn about every room and the drawers of furniture all were found pulled out and rooms were in general d'order. After leaving the house, the garage, on the rear of the property, was ransacked, the thieves gaining entrance by breaking and entering a rear window. This burglary also is charged by officers to the "rug" burglar. SUPERVISORS' PROCEEDINGS State aid was granted to Mrs. Elizabeth R. Rogers. It was ordered that certain assessments be cancelled on certain pieces of property situated in Orange county. It was ordered that the R. I. D.
