F. E. Millenz will occupy his new saloon, in the basement of Kroeger's building, early the coming week. He is having it fitted up most invitingly.
On Monday next, Halberstadt & Company's teams will commence hauling lumber from Anaheim Landing to their new yard near the depot.
Tomorrow is St. Valentine's Day and, in preparation for that event, Clark & Company has received a large stock of valentines.
Dr. J. M. Roberts has his dental office in Langenberger's new building. The doctor is an accomplished dentist and is building up a good practice.
Father Sanchez was in Anaheim during the early part of the week, soliciting subscriptions for the benefit Jones every Monday evening. The following are the officers: Dr. M. S. Jones, W. C., and Dr. Jones, John Fischer and E. W. Champlin, council.
The partnership between Drs. Hardin and Jones has been dissolved. Dr. Jones will occupy the old office in the Odd Fellows' building and Dr. Hardin's office will be at his residence.

Mrs. Fred Mickel was a visitor in town one day last week, when she attended the Belgian harp exhibition.
Miss Stella Lewis, who visited with friends and relatives in town last week, has returned to her home in Los Angeles.
Miss Winifred Melrose will entertain the evening social club at a character party the evening of Friday, March 9.
S. Kistler has engaged Tommy
Dr. J. M. Roberts has his dental office in Langenberger's new building. The doctor is an accomplished dentist and is building up a good practice.
Father Sanchez was in Anaheim during the early part of the week, soliciting subscriptions for the benefit of the orphan asylum at Pajaro. Quite a large sum was collected for that worthy purpose.
The former members of Anaheim Fire Company No. 1 are requested to meet at Enterprise hall on Monday evening, at 7 o'clock, for the purpose of coming to some decision in regard to the disposal of the apparatus.
Otto Evers has sold his house and lot on the Heimann & George vineyard, to P. Hennenfeld, late of the firm of Ms Frankel & Company of Santa Ana. Mr. Hennenfeld will soon open a store in Anaheim.
A dispatch received by Lafaucherie yesterday afternoon states that Corvelli, the confidence man, has been arrested at Riverside, San Bernardino county. Ten or twelve of his victims left here yesterday to interview him.
On Monday night an attempt was made to break into the store of Gallard & Pavin, in the Gazette building, by two men who were discovered in the act by Stewart, the well borer. He gave chase to the would-be robbers, but in the darkness they managed to elude him.
One of the best wells in Westminster colony has just been completed on Mr. Edwards' place. The pipe—8-inch—was level with the surface of the ground, says our informant, and the water rose with terrific force, 18 inches above the ground, bringing with it rocks of from one to three pounds in weight. The well is only 60 feet in depth.
An item in the Los Angeles Express to the effect that a Mrs. Swilson of Anaheim had given birth to triplets on the third is not borne out by facts. The result of our reporter's inquiries discloses: First, that Mrs. Swilson don't expect any little angels for some time; second that Mrs. Swilson is a

Misses May and Irene Cargill, two of Brookshurst's prettiest girls, spent Sunday with friends in Santa Ana.
F. W. Fleischman received some days ago, a carload of 22 head of cattle from Arizona, which he is now butchering for the market. The stock is in prime condition and makes excellent beef. He expects to receive another carload in two weeks, and will continue to serve his customers with nothing but the best of meats.
The ladies of the "Old Maid's Convention" have invitations out for a social dance to be given at the Del Campo tomorrow (Friday) evening. Blanchard & Schoenmann's Los Angeles orchestra will be in attendance, and cards will be provided in the parlor for those who do not wish to dance. The proceeds will be devoted to the purchase of a new organ for the Episcopal church.
W. G. McPherson was over from Orange on Tuesday, in consultation with William Crowther relative to the disposition of the Durkee property. The stock on the ranch, some 250 head, will be sold at auction on Tuesday, February 27.
Mrs. Konig entertained the Ladies' Euchre Club very pleasantly at her home on Thursday afternoon. The house was beautifully decorated, the large double rooms upstairs, where the card tables were arranged, being decorated with smylax and pink roses. Refreshments were served downstairs, the guests being seated at a long table extending through the parlor and dining room. On last Saturday the electors of Cajon district held an election for the purpose of voting on the question of creating a water district under the provisions of the Bush Irrigating act. Forty votes out of a total of 53 in the district were cast. Of these, 33 were in favor of and 7 against. Three water commissioners, R. H. Gilman, George F. Miles and D. W. Field and an overseer, J. B. Pierce, were elected.

A. S. Addis, of photographic fame, instituted, on Monday last, a lodge of the new order called "Janissaries of Light." This association has for its object the mutual assistance of its members, and possesses other features peculiar to all benevolent secret societies. For the present the meetings will be held at the office of Dr.

Mrs. Mitchell was in town on Saturday. She said she had in contemplation the erection of a two-story brick block on her property at the corner of Center and Los Angeles streets. This is one of the best business locations in town and a building upon it would realize a handsome return upon the investment.
Robert Thiele was a visitor in town from Los Angeles on Monday. Mr. Thiele is always a welcome visitor at our sanctum when in town, knowing that the Jatchstring always hangs without. He returned to his home in the evening.
Dr. Johnston will move his office about the first of the month, from its present location in Mrs. Metz's building on Los Angeles street to the Great residence on Broadway.
The Liederkranz tendered a serenade on Tuesday evening to T. E. Schmidt at the home of his son-in-law.

Herman Dickel. Mr. Schmidt was the first instructor of the Liederkranz, in the early days of Anaheim, and Mr. Dickel has in his possession a guitar presented to him by the organization in 1862.
Don David Yorba was a business visitor in town from Yorba on Saturday. Don David is one of the influential caballeros of his section and numbers his friends in town by scores on all sides. Si, senior!
Jake Stern advertises several 20-acre tracts for sale, also all unsold portions of the celebrated Stearn ranchs. Jake has a number of good bargains and, now that an active interest prevails relative to Orange county realty and purchases are numerous, parties contemplating buying should consult with him.
Victor Browning was in town a day or two ago from his orange orchard in the Brookhurst district. Vic has been engaged in gathering his orange crop, and reports the fruit to be of extra fancy character.
Frank Stone has been engaged in building a new residence for John Kellenberger at Buena Park.
Mrs. Charles Norman has been seriously ill during the week. Yesterday she rallied, and hope is held out for her recovery.
During the past week a petition has been in circulation by H. A. Dickel and Herman Stern, asking for the formation of a military company here, and the names of 70 young men secured as candidates for membership in the national guard. The petition was forwarded to headquarters on Tuesday, and favorable action will

able in installments of $30.69 each, due on the 6th day of each and every month beginning February 6, 1924, which said note and Deed of Trust provide that should default be made in the payment of any installment when due, then the whole sum of principal and interest shall become immediately due and payable at the option of the holder of said note; and
WHEREAS, default has been made in the payment of said promissory note, and a breach has been made in the obligation for which said Deed of Trust is a security, in this, that the installation of principal and interest due on said note on April 6, 1924, was not paid when due; and
WHEREAS, said Deed of Trust provides that if default be made in the payment of any of the sums of principal and interest when due, the owner and holder of said note may declare the whole of said principal and interest thereof immediately due and payable and require the said Trustee to sell the property thereby granted; and
WHEREAS, said Security Housing Corporation has declared that default has been made as aforesaid, and has declared the whole of said principal and interest and other sums secured by said Deed of Trust immediately due and payable, and has demanded that said Trustee shall sell the premises granted by said Deed of Trust to accomplish the objects of the trust therein expressed; and
WHEREAS, said Security Housing Corporation, being the holder of said note under said Deed of Trust, did record in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange, California, (being the county wherein the real property covered by said Deed of Trust, and hereinafter described, is situated) a notice of said default and of its election to sell or cause to be sold said property to satisfy said obligations, which said notice was recorded on November 6, 1924, in Book 24, Page 240, of Miscellaneous Records of said County.
NOW, THEREFORE, notice is hereby given that the undersigned, by virtue of the authority in it vested as Trustee, will sell at public auction, to the highest bidder for cash in
WHEREAS, the said W. A.
