"Beware of Fullerton—Thirty Days." The foregoing warning is chalked in rude scrawl on the walls of a box car on the sidetracks and according to Fullerton switchmen, is in hundreds of other cars now scattered throughout the United States. In this manner is the "vag" warned of the penalty of staying over night in Fullerton by his brethren, who have been hailed before Judge French and received the inevitable "30 days." "Thirty days is the minimum under the law," says Justice French. "Two-bits worth of gasoline and a ride to the city limits of Fullerton would save the taxpayers of the county many dollars," say the authorities in Santa Ana. Jack Iman, Santa Ana middleweight, was going along good at Hollywood Friday night until the middle of the third round. At that juncture, Tim Kelly, claiming the middleweight title of the Irish Free State, hooked him with a terrific right to the point of the jaw. The punch stopped the rugged Santa Ana boy. Rev. Father Robert Byrne, for seventeen years chaplain of St. Catherine's school, died Saturday night at the age of 85 years. Funeral services were held at St. Boniface church on Tuesday morning, Father Brown officiating. The boys of St. Catherine's school sang the requiem high mass. With a bicycle captured as evidence, police are seeking a prowler who was skulking in the shadows at the home of Earl Abbey at 715 Cypress avenue. Santa Ana, Sunday night. Luneberg has returned from a business and pleasure trip to San Diego and La Jolla, where he has extensive property interests and many friends who are always glad to see him. Pasadena's baseball team will come down to Anaheim Sunday and play the locals in the deciding game for the championship of the southern California league. Earl Steadman, sales manager for the Carroll tract, reports lots in that popular sub-division selling like hot cakes. This tract is located in one of the best residential districts in town, and the lots are offered at a remarkably low figure, considering the desirable location. Many men who have grown tired of paying an exorbitant rent, are buying homes of their own and expect to pay rent to themselves hereafter. With a bicycle captured as evidence, police are seeking a prowler who was skulking in the shadows at the home of Earl Abbey at 715 Cypress avenue. Santa Ana, Sunday night. Mr. Abbey chased the man away and forced him to depart so rapidly that he left his bicycle behind. Officer Frank Lutz responded to a telephone call and went at once to the neighborhood, but the prowler had disappeared on foot. The bicycle was brought to the police station by Lutz. Later in the evening Andrew Van, Smet reported that his wheel had been stolen from in front of the Lyric theatre and identified the bicycle in the police station as his property. It is thought that the prowler picked the wheel from in front of the theatre and abandoned it where it was found when pursued by Abbep. The special series of meeting being held in the tabernacle on Helena and Chestnut streets by the congregation of the First Christian church are growing in interest, and good audiences are in attendance at each service, notwithstanding the inclement weather. Evangelist Vawter preaches some strong sermons, and the music is made a special feature of the meetings. Nearly seventy-five persons have united with the church during the past two weeks, and many more are expected. The meetings will continue for two or more weeks. Plans for the new M.
