peruse the statistics of Anaheim City Taxed on this page. In our previous article proven beyond a doubt that the prohibition posed for our city is untenable from a point; that it does not advocate or make TEMPERANCE.
Today, on this page, we show you the Hopeless experiment, a dire failure from a point of practicability. Every taxpayer of man or woman, who pays hard earned money into our city treasury should read and these startling figures.
IT MEANS DOLLARS AND CENTS. It brings absolute proof that your tax crease at least 40 per cent, if the city liquor and the $10,000.00 annual revenue derived are eliminated by the proposed Wyllie G.
NO GETTING AWAY FROM THE EDITOR Young of Los Angeles has printed Ana in his Anaheim Herald, the tax rate is $1.70 per hundred dollars assessed with your property. Nobody disputes this fact the taxpayer knows it. Nothing strange about the taxpayer knows that an immense amount had to be expended on the municipal light system, the sewer system, and other vital municipal improvements.
Every taxpayer knows that it takes money to keep up all of our city institutions.
Why doesn't Editor Young get down to business and tell Anaheim what the tax rate will be if the nearly $10,000.00 rived from liquor licenses is eliminated?
Read and think.
Instead of paying $1.70 per hundred dollars assessed with property, as at present, you will have to pay $2.38.
And all for What?

For driving the liquor traffic into secret channels, into outlaw-bootlegger and blindpigger, unchecked, unrestricted,
No moral issue, no true temperance movement, no being righteousness is involved in this case.
Our residents, our citizens, our taxpayers, all those who REAL MORALITY, HAPPINESS, PROGRESS AND PROSPERATION MOTHER COLONY are thoroughly satisfied with existing conditions.
Those who have brought this unfortunate and unnecessary us, who are clamoring the loudest for a “Dry” (?) town and PAID AGITATORS of the Anti-Saloon League, and a number of others from near-by towns—NON-RESIDENTS, NON-TAXPAYERS?
Are these outsiders as vitally interested in issues of Anaheim as OUR TAXPAYERS are any of these zealots offer assistance in my deficiency in our city treasury, or will this done by OUR TAXPAYERS?
