H. M. Miller, who, some weeks ago, laid a proposition before the board of trade for the establishment of a vending machine factory in Anaheim has interested the Orange board of trade in the matter with the result that the plant will be located in our neighboring city. About twenty men will be employed in the plant which will build slot machines of various sizes and kinds, also manufacture candies, chocolates, chewing gum and other articles to fill them. Wm. Davidson and Clinton J. Idlor of Anaheim are stockholders in the company. T. B. Helsop has brought suit in the Superior Court against Daisy Hanns, administratrix of the estate of J. A. Bishop, who died at Hot Springs, Ark., in 1911. The complaint, filed by Melrose & Ames of Anaheim, sets forth that Heslop offered $14,000 for 21 acres of land in the northwest part of the county, and that he paid $1,400 down to the administratrix. Instead of making the sale to Heslop, the court made the sale to Louis M. Pitman. Heslop says he never got his $1,400 back. He sues for that and also for $180 labor and $161 money spent for the estate.
