Mrs. Geo. M. Ross, Sec'y. Murray Shampang, of Orange, came over one day last week and carried away one of Anaheim's popular young ladies in the person of Miss Alice Goetz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Goetz. They were married in Los Angeles and will take up their residence at the groom's home in Orange. Both Santa Ana and Fullerton are troubled with "peeping Toms." As the fate which befell the original peeping Tom cannot reasonably be expected to overtake them in these days it is to be hoped that some indignant citizens of those towns will succeed in planting a few birdshot where they will put a stop to their villainous practices. Miss Mary Daniels, who has for several years been one of the popular lady clerks in Falkenstein's store, resigned her position last Thursday by marrying Grant Creveston, of Brea. The groom is one of the rising young men in the oil industry and after a couple of weeks' honeymoon the couple will begin housekeeping at Brea. The groom came out and was escorted up-town where the drum corps was suitably refreshed. Santa Ana Democrats are elated over the appointment of Albert Schoonover of San Diego as United States District Attorney for the southern district of California, for the reason that they believe that his appointment means that Attorney Benjamin E. Tarver of that city will be named by him as assistant. Three months ago Traver was indorsed for the appointment by the Orange County Democratic Central Committee, and it is understood that he has Congressman Kettner's support. On Saturday night Sam Johnson knocked down Col. William J. Wickersheim, of Fullerton, and is alleged to have kicked him in the ribs a number of times and bumped his head against the sidewalk. Wickersheim is president of the Wickersheim Implement Company. Two young boys named Ketchum, relatives of Johnson, are said to have been smoking cigarettes in Wickersheim's barn and when requested to leave by Mrs. Wickersheim it is charged they swore at her. As there was hay in the barn the owner feared fire. When Wickersheim heard the boys refused to leave the barn he ordered them out, having a whip in his hands, but it is asserted he did not injure them. Wickersheim swore to a complaint against Johnson this afternoon. GAZETTE CLASSIFIED ADS "RESULT PRODUCERS" Rates—Liners and classified advertisements, 5 cents per line per insertion.
