Champion who lost a valuable horse and buggy from the hitching post at Dickel's store two weeks ago has evidence that the animal was driven south across the Mexican line. He has word that a horse and rig answering its description was seen driving through Oceanside the day after the theft. The horse was the next day driven through Escondido, La Jolla and San Diego, and was later seen aboard the ferry crossing to the Coronado side. The thief was undoubtedly heading for the Mexican line at Tia Juana. Mr. Champion feels keenly his loss, the horse having been a pet and an animal of value. He criticises local officers for apathy in their efforts to disseminate news of the theft or to recover the stolen property. FOR QUALITY MULLINIX DRUG STORE
