Mr. Heartt was one of the striking conductors in the A.R.U. walk-out of twenty years ago, and was a leader in union labor circles. The railwaymen lost their fight, but Heartt never resumed his job. He was the father of Mrs. Estelle Heartt Dreyfus, a noted singer. Members of the Four-Four whist club were royally entertained by Bird Beebe at the Bay City hotel on Wednesday evening last week.
