NEWS AND BUSINESS
Asher & Falkenstein have installed a Toledo scale which is an innovation in the art of weighing groceries. Facing the purchaser is a dial which shows the exact weight of his purchase, while a dial upon the reverse side shows the clerk not only the weight but the charge to be made for the purchase. Suspended upon the reverse dial is a mirror which reflects the light from an electric bulb, thus permitting the clerk to take advantage of the automatic calculator during evening hours. This store spares no expense to conduce to the welfare of their customers, and the new scale comes in for many words of commendation.
