MINUTES OF WATER BOARD
Mr. Collins Writes Concerning Views of Bankers Regarding Bonds
Anaheim, September 19, '08.
A regular meeting of the board of directors of the Anaheim Union Water company was held on the above date with all members present except L. P. Drake.
The minutes of the preceding meeting of Sept. 5th were read and approved.
Bradford of the ditch committee reported that an effort had been made with a two-horse team to plow in front of the Nenno place but that it resulted in a failure.
Moved by Hale, seconded by Bradford that the resolution covering the filling in of the ditch at Nenno's be and the same is hereby rescinded. Carried.
The secretary reported to the board that an election by the stockholders had been held on the 12th day of September for the purpose of voting upon the question of rebonding the company for $300,000.00 and that the result was a vote of 6641 votes favorable and a vote of 79 votes against the proposed resolution, and that the resolution to rebond had been adopted by more than the required majority of two thirds of the stock issued.
The report of the secretary was received and ordered to be spread on the records.

POISONING OF PRAIRIE INTEREST in Effort of Government Rid Farms of Pest
The recent publication of now being done by the United forest service in the way off the prairie dogs which amorous not only upon the nearest areas, but upon practical western lands used for genetical purposes has keenly hit the stockmen of the states in the Mississippi in the region the little animals are so trot.

Kraemer, the said certificate was approved and adopted and the president and secretary of the corporation and the Board of Directors thereof were requested to sign the same and the secretary was instructed to affix thereto the seal of the corporation; and the attorney was instructed to file said certificate in the proper offices as required by law.
An application was received from W. E. McFadden for the privilege of purchasing 64 sacks of cement for ditch purposes on his ranch. The request was on motion granted.
A communication from Mrs. A. Rothaermal relating to the question of the location of a proposed sidewalk along our pipe line on Sycamore street was referred to Mr. McLauchlin to report at next meeting.
A communication from H. E. Collins, a stockholder of the company called attention to the rate of interest on the bonds to be issued. He stated that he had interviewed Los Angeles parties and talked over the matter and that the conclusion come to is that our bonds being written at six per cent ought to sell at a considerable premium, aggregating at least $30,000.00 premium on the whole issue and that this $30,000.00 could then be used for the betterment of our ditches.
The secretary was instructed to answer the said communication thanking Mr. Collins for his interest and expressing the appreciation of the Board.
A bid of $1000 as rent of La Habra Reservoir site was received from A. Tousseau and was on motion accepted.
Notice was given by Sheriff Lacy that the attachment of the W. R. Carpenter water stock is now released.

Hale and McLauchlin were added to the pumping plant committee, the said committee to report to the Board.
On motion the meeting adjourned.

Notice is hereby given that the hearing of the Report of the Viewers on the petition of Charles G. Spreng et al. of Anaheim and Fullerton Road Districts, filed May 20th, 1908, praying that the following described lines be declared a County Road is set for Tuesday, October 20th, 1908, at 11 A.M. at the office of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County at the Court House.
Said road is described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the South line of Section Six, Township Four South, Range Ten West, S. B. B. & M., where the half-section line running North and South intersects therewith, running thence due North along said half-section line to the center of Section thirty-one, said Township and Range.
Also commencing at a point on the East line of Section Six, township and range aforesaid, where the half section line running East and West across said section intersects therewith and running thence West along said half section line to the West side of said Section Six.
