MRS. EYMAN SEEKS DIVORCE Sued a Year Ago, was Re-united to her Husband, now Again Seeks Separation Mrs. Walter C. Eyman of Ocean Park has again instituted proceedings against her husband for divorce. Mrs. Eyman names Miss Cather, a seaside beauty, as co-respondent. The couple were married in Cologne thirteen years ago and have a son aged 12. Their married life has been unhappy and for years past have been upon the point of separation. A year ago Mrs. Eyman instituted proceedings against her husband for divorce. The pair became reunited, and have since been living at Ocean Park. The couple formerly lived near Brookshurst, where Eyman's intolerable conduct toward his wife and child was neighborhood gossip. Eyman has been a conspicuous figure at Ocean Park and Venice during the summer. He attended balls and parties and is said to be the most graceful two-stepper who ever glided soulfully over the floor of the Venice auditorium. Eyman has been a lady-killer from away back. Miss Cather was ever at his side. A crisis came in his marital career a week or so ago when Mrs. Eyman discovered the following letter, written by her husband to Miss Cather, in the former's apartments: "My Dear Miss Cather," it began. "I just received your letter and hasten to correct the error you lay at my door. My motive to write was not to avail myself of any excuse. I implore you to forever sever that idea from your heart and mind. You know that I never loved any one as you. Never did week or so ago when Mrs. Eyman discovered the following letter, written by her husband to Miss Cather, in the former's apartments: "My Dear Miss Cather," it began. "I just received your letter and hasten to correct the error you lay at my door. My motive to write was not to avail myself of any excuse. I emplore you to forever sever that idea from your heart and mind. You know that I never loved any one as you. Never did my heart feel such sweet yearning as when I did not have you near. "You were my choice, my loved one, and what you say of 'casting away' is positively wrong. "How do I know the age of that Mr.? You say about 24, and every time that I have seen you with him you acted toward him as beamingly interested, as chummy as you did the moment you so hurt me in our office talking so familiarly with W. You do not seem to remember when with him, else you would have been more reserved in memory of my strong love for you and my displeasure at any familiar glance or tone toward any other man. "It is my right to always find you calm, and while smiling, remember that you are already mine own and that such conduct on your part encourages love, not only friendship. "I hurt a thousand times in my heart and the effect crushes it. You do not think I love you. Oh, what error! "Be my witness. I love you today and none else and see only misery ahead of me. My poor heart, whose entire space is taken up by your image. It wants no other; it is content. I believe I am endowed with the love of several men. "I am making a serene haven for you. The day I lead you to the altar is not far distant." Eyman declares the letter was written while he was laboring under great mental strain, and only to relieve his mind of pent-up endearments for the beautiful Miss Cather. He declares he never received a letter from her, and she says she never wrote him. The letter was written by him, says Eyman, when he was suffering most keenly on account of domestic trouble. At such times, Mr. Eyman writes to relieve his mind. That is, he often times writes, but more often he spends an hour or two in the pavilion dancing. She also complains that ber 3, 1907, "defendant took and carried away all underwear of every description. "In answering his wife's gins with the last mentionables. At such times, Mr. Eyman writes to relieve his mind. That is, he often times writes, but more often he spends an hour or two in the pavilion dancing. His wife, who will not see any good in him, has formally objected both to the writing and the dancing. "I wrote that letter," he said. "But I wrote it merely as I would have written an article on municipal corruption or some philosophical subject. At such times when I strive to allay the terrible workings of my nervous system and my overwrought mind I write, but scarcely know what I am doing. "I was in that state when I wrote to Miss Cather. A fit of anger against my wife drove me to do it one night. The next day I had forgotten what I had done, but seeing the letter I picked it up and read it. I was amazed. What I had written was preposterous, impossible, utterly foreign to my saner purposes. I put the letter away among my things and forgot that it existed. I had no intention of mailing it. Several weeks afterward Mrs. Eyman found it; or rather she entered my room surreptitiously and stole it. And then she told me a false story." One year ago last month Mrs. Eyman brought suit for divorce, alleging cruelty. At that time Miss Cather was a witness, but merely to testify to a conversation. Mrs. Eyman's suit was refused and since that time the couple have not been on good terms. When this "model" came in she saw a chance for big return of money, so she compromised with her customer and agreed to let her have a new dress, just imported, for a very low figure. Whereat the poor little woman paid all the money she had received for all her dresses and out Mme. Y. brought the model. The poor woman talked herself blue in the face, but she could not say anything to protect herself without betraying her dealing with Mme. X., so, poor thing, she danced in her old frock after all, having swapped all her other gowns for the privilege. A Transformation Scene. A fashionable audience in Paris listened to a lecture on chemistry by a celebrated chemist. At the conclusion of the lecture a lady and gentleman who were among the first to leave the hall had reached the open air when the lady caught her escort staring at her. "What is the matter?" asked the madame in surprise. "Pardon me, but you are quite blue!" The lady returned to the hall and approached a mirror. She started back in horror. The rouge upon her cheeks had been converted into a beautiful blue by the chemical decomposition which had taken place under the influence of the gases which had been generated during the lecture. The majority of the women in the audience had suffered in a similar manner. There were all sorts of colors—blue, yellow, violet and black. Some whose vanity had induced them to put ivory on the skin, coral on the lips, rouge on the cheeks and black on the eyebrows had undergone a ludicrous transformation. The state of California is becoming so well known all over the world through the continued and persistent efforts of the California promotion committee that the demand for descriptive literature of the various localities and industries of the state has assumed unprecedented proportions. Through its eastern bureau in New York and its varicus agencies over the world the committee is distributing an enormous amount of California literature, and the demand has been so great that the supply at the command of the committee is constantly depleted. The work of the committee along this line has borne good fruit, and no county can afford to let its supply of literature fall short of the demand. The committee does its work of distribution without charge to the local organizations or to the localities furnishing the literature, and the best feature of its work is the fact that no literature is sent out in a haphazard manner. Every piece that is distributed is sent in response to an inquiry from some person who is interested in the state, consequently no literature sent to the California promotion committee is thrown away. The committee desires that every locality in California be represented on its literature counters at headquar-teers in San Francisco and at its eastern bureau, and there is no question that there can be no better method of distributing the literature of the locality. The system of the committee is so perfect in this respect that they may have them artificial ones, that look at the Natural & answers Speaking to all Intents, vere, Goldsmith, near the Clarke's Wharf, Boston. who have had false Teeth John Baker, Surgeon Deny have got loose (as they may have them fastened who learnt the Method of from Mr. Baker."
