All trustees are negotiating base of a flagstaff to be grounds in front of the Agent Pickering of the Southern Pacific has prevailed upon his company after a year's laborious effort the propriety of adding a late evening train on Sundays from Newport and adjoining beaches. The instantaneous success which has attended this new train service attests the fact of its being a long-felt want. Mr. Pickering has been after the men higher up to thus accommodate his patrons and his success is cause for congratulation all round. It is good for the company, and good for the traveling public. This train leaves Newport Beach at 5:20, reaching here at 6 o'clock. Hitherto the last train in from the beach has passed here at 4 o'clock. The new train proceeds to Loara, where it turns and goes back to the beach. Inasmuch as the company has a 6 o'clock train to Newport Beach, passengers need not wait for the later train's return. Mr. Pickering has done the traveling public a service in getting this late train in from the beach, has turned an excellent trick for his company, and we salute him.

A Hair Dressing
Nearly every one likes a fine hair dressing. Something to make the hair more manageable; to keep it from being too rough, or from splitting at the ends. Something, too, that will feed the hair at the same time, a regular hair-food. Well-fed hair will be strong, and will remain where it belongs—on the head, not on the comb!
