Prof. Walker goes to Los Angeles Saturday to attend a meeting of the executive committee of the Southern California high school league. The committee will arrange for the championship debate between Anaheim and Pasadena high schools. These two schools stand, in the order named, at the head of the Southern California high school league. The question to be debated, as well as the time and place, will be selected. The affirmative and negative sides will also be assigned to the schools. The Stanford trophy and the silken banner will go to the winner of the debate, to be held for a year. Monrovia now holds them. For some reason Monrovia dropped out of the league this year.
Election for school trustee will be held at the Central school house on Friday. The candidates are W. H. Spake and J. H. Enearl. Mr. Enearl is at present a member of the board. Mr. Spake has yielded to solicitations of many friends to become a candidate, and will if chosen fill the position with honor to himself and with credit to the district.

Your Patent "A" flour has just arrived. It is made of Eastern wheat, and can make GOOD BREAD. Try it and convince yourselves. Take a sack and use half of it, and if it does not give perfect satisfaction in every act, return it to us and we will refund your money. But flour is not all we—and absolutely guarantee. Do you know that we have a line of tea and you cannot match anywhere in the city for quality and price. We guarour "Mexomoka" brand of 25c coffee to equal any 35c coffee in the city, our Moca Blend which we sell 3 lbs. for one dollar cannot be equaled for money. Try our line of Groceries and if we cannot satisfy your taste we readily refund your money.

POWER
175 motors are used in Orange county, supplying over 500 horse-power.
We have contracts to install 15 electric pumping plants, using over 500 horse-power, immediately.
One motor will outlast ten gas engines and does not meet one-half as much to buy or to operate. Gas engines out of date. Use motors.
