Armenian Lecturer
An Armenian lecturer, who while serving as photographer in the Sultan’s palace at Constantinople made his escape therefrom during the Armenian massacres of some years ago, will lecture at the Christian church on Sunday morning and evening and on Monday evening. His name translated into English is John Baptist, and he comes highly recommended as a speaker and author. His topic for Sunday morning’s lecture will be “Is It Accident, Co-incident or Habit—Which? Neither One, What Then?” The discourse relates to his life in the Sultan’s palace, and his subsequent escape, when, feeling his life to be in danger at the hands of the Turks, he fled to this country. Subjects for Sunday and Monday evenings may be selected by the audience from the following subjects:
“The American Flag and its Power for Christ.”
“The Meanest Man in the World.”
“Not the Man in the Basket, but the other Men.”
“The History of the Cradle of the Races.”
“Oriental Wedding by 25 or 30 Persons in their Native Costumes.”
