ANIMAL STRIKERS.
Both Birds and Beasts Occasionally on strike, according to observers herd of horses will bunch together, select their food, become restive, and rub noses when in a field. Outcome is that the herd will not themselves to be saddled or harried and will chase and attempt to kill attendants. Female birds take trumps and refuse to do the house. They desert their nests and leave eggs to become cold and barren; male naturally becomes greatly cerned, but with the bird and creation the male will never attack female, so there is no remedy. Blers and starlings are given great these strikes.
A species of black ants have yellow ants which do most of their work for them. Occasionally the low species will go on a strike. Food supply is cut off, but if that not avail the strikers are attack another lot of yellow ants are seen.
Even the rabbit is a hardened er. In rabbit colonies the stronger bits do most of the burrowing, often as perhaps once in two these become discontented and not to work.
BOILING WATER.
Why a Redhot Poker Does Not It to Hiss.
If a redhot poker be thrust into water it hisses and sputters; if boiling water, there is no commotion.
When in the first experiment color comes in contact with the hot there is a sudden and explosive formation of steam, which causes the lily to be scattered with a hissing noise consequent upon the bursting of numerable bubbles.
When, on the other hand, a poketrush into boiling water, which is ready freely giving forth steam, the production of the hot iron by stillther assisting steam production causes the poker to become at once surroved by a sheath of vapor, which efflantly prevents the water from co-

WHAT IS CATARRH?
Hyomei Cures this Common and Disagreeble Disease.
Hyomei cures catarrh by the simple method of breathing it into the air passages and lungs. It kills the germs of catarrhal poison, heals and soothes the irritated mucous membrane, enters the blood with the oxygen and kills the germs present there, effectually driving this disease from the system.
If you have any of the following symptoms, catarrhal germs are at work somewhere in the mucous membrane of the nose, throat, bronchial tubes or tissues of the lungs.
offensive breath
dryness of the nose
pain across the eyes
pain in back of the head
pain in front of the head
tendency to take cold burning pain in the throat
hawking to clear the throat
pain in the chest
a cough
stitch in side
losing of flesh
variable appetite
low spirited at times
raising of frothy mucous
expectating yellow matter
difficulty in breathing
frequent sneezing
huskiness of voice
discharge from nose
stoppage of the nose at night
aching of the body
droppings in throat
mouth open while sleeping
tickling back of the palate
formation of crusts in the nose
dryness of the throat in the morning
loss of strength
spasms of coughing
cough short and hacking
cough worse nights and mornings
loss in vital force
a feeling of tightness across the upper part of the chest
Hyomei will cure the disease, destroy activity of all germ life in the respiratory organs, enrich purify the blood with additional ozone, and after a few days use of this treatment the majority of these symptoms will have disappeared. In a few weeks the cure will be complete.
Catarrh or catarrhal colds cannot exist when Hyomei is used. This is a strong statement, but W. B. Hutchinson emphasizes it by agreeing to refund your money if Hyomei does not cure.

Jack Sheppard as a Text.
Jack Sheppard had a great hold upon the imagination of the people of his time. The fact that 200,000 people witnessed his execution at Tyburn on Nov. 18, 1724, "upon the tree that bears twelve times a year" is some witness to his grim popularity. But one of the strangest tributes ever paid him was the sermon preached upon him in a London church.
"Oh, that ye were all like Jack Sheppard!" began the preacher, to the stupefaction of his congregation. He went on to draw a parallel between things of the flesh and those of the soul and to point out that the genius shown in housebreaking might have been bestowed upon "picking the locks of the heart with the nail of repentance."
