Mohdala is to erect a monument in honor of the late John Bright.

At a dinner given by the Chinese minister in Washington, the ministers from Japan, China and Corea carried on a three cornered conversation with pens and paper, for although they cannot understand what each one says, their written language is identical.
The German emperor gave to Prince Bismarck, on the latter's birthday anniversary, a fine old engraved portrait of his ancestor, the Provost George Frederick von Bismarck, born in 1607. It is framed in oak, ornamented with the prince's coat of arms, and bears a dedication written by the emperor.
The late Rev. Sir Frederick Gore Ouseley, Bart., professor of music at Oxford, had probably the finest private musical library in England. It includes the MS., partly in the author's writing, of the "Messiah," from which Handel conducted his first performance of that oratorio.
The Duke of Cambridge, commander-in-chief of the British army, is to go to Brussels in June to unveil the monument which has been erected in the principal cemetery there over the graves of officers of the Duke of Wellington's troops who died of wounds received at Quatre Bras and Waterloo.

While the queen regent of Spain was entertaining Queen Victoria at San Sebastian, by an old coincidence the Duchess of Madrid was extending a similar courtesy to Princess Louis of Bavaria at Viareggio. The duchess is wife of Don Carlos, and, in Legitimist eyes, the rightful queen of Spain, and the princess is a direct descendant of Charles I, and would probably be queen of England today were it not for the act of settlement.

Warrants have been issued in Washington for the arrest of two employees of the National museum for stealing alcohol in which fish, makes and lizards were being preserved and selling it to local druggists for making bay rum.
A fifteen inch trout took two falls out of Dr. R. H. Baker, a Williamsport angler, who was standing on a mossy and rather slippery stone. The first fall snapped his suspenders and the second laid him flat upon his back. But he got the trout.
Probably the most expensive carpet ever manufactured is that owned by the mahrajah of Baroda. It took three years to make it and cost $200,000. It is made entirely of stringed pure colored pearls, with the center and corners of diamonds.

the Superior Court at the county of Orange, State of
California, and to answer the Complaint filed thereon

Court for the foreclosure of a mortgage described in

Forbes on the 22d day of March, A. D. 1888, to secure
the payment of one promissory note of same date for
$138 33, with interest at 4 per cent per annum from
date until paid, interest payable semi-annually, and if not so paid to be compounded semi-annually; said note being due six months after date; that the premises conveyed by said mortgage may be sold, and the proceeds applied to the payment of said note, with interest as therein provided and as above mentioned;
$50 attorney's fees and costs of suit, and in case such
proceeds are not sufficient to pay the sums then to obtain an execution against said A. W. Forbes for the balance remaining due, and also that the defender and all persons claiming by through or under him may be barred and foreclosed of all right, title,
claim, lien, equity of redemption and interest in and to said mortgaged premises, and for other and further relief. Reference is had to Complaint for particulars.
All you are hereby notified that if you fail to appear and answer the said plaintiff will apply to the Court for the relief demanded in this sale Complaint.

Zeyn constituting and comprising the Board of Directors of Anaheim Irrigation District of Orange County, California, petitioned in the Superior Court of the County of Orange, State of California, a motion to the Superior Court of the County of Orange, State of California, a motion to order the Clerk thereof to give and publish a notice of the filing of the petition in the manner and for the time required by law, and at the time so fixed for the hearing of said petition, that the Court will examine and determine the legality and validity of and approve and confirm each and all of the proceedings for the organization of Anaheim Irrigation District under the provisions of An Act of the Legislature of this State, approved March 7th, 1890, entitled "An Act to provide for the organization and government of irrigation districts, and to provide for the acquisition of water and other property, and for the distribution of water thereby for irrigation purposes," and the amendments supplementary acts thereof approved February 18th and March 18th, 1890, respectively, from and including the position for the organization of said districts, and all other proceedings which may effect the legality or validity of the bonds of said Anaheim Irrigation District, to win, in the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars, and that the proceedings of said district and of the Board of Directors thereof in providing for and amending the laws and sale of said bonds, including the Order for the sale thereof; and the sale thereof may be examined, approved and confirmed by said Court, and that the Court make such further order, Siding and Judgment as may be meet and proper in the premises.
And notice is hereby given that Monday, the 2d day of March, 1890, at 10 o'clock A.M. of that day, in the Coggerroom Lok Court, in the City of Santa Ana, county of Orange, State zeroward, in the first place fixed by said Court for the hearing of said petition, and that any person interested in the organization of Anaheim Irrigation District, or in the proceedings for the laws or sale of said bonds thereof, may or before the 3d day of March, 1890, the day no fixed by said Court, demur to or move up petition.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT IN PURSUANCE of an order of the Superior Court of the county of Los Angeles, State of California, made on the 19th day of December, 1890, in matter of the estate of Louise Keller, deceased, the undertaking, the administrator with the will amounted to salts estate, will sell at private sale to the highest bidder, for cash, in gold coin of the United States, subject to confirmation by said Supervisor Court on or after the 3D DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1890, all right title interest and estate of said Louise Keller at the time of her death, and to all those lots held at statute in the city of Anaheim, county of Orange State of California, and described as follows:
Lots numbers 64 and 66 in block "E" of a subdivision of Vineyard Lok C.3; according to a map of salt subdivision known as "Heymann and George Addition Building Lots in the City of Anaheim," and recorded in Book 2 of Miscellaneous Records at page 284 in the Recorder's office of said Los Angeles county.
