JUST LIKE HOME. THE GENTLEMAN FROM PRINCE-WILLE FINDS THE SPOT AT LAST. His search for a Meal Suitable to his Spoon River System. The Dear Old Lady Who Knows the Given Boys Home Made Bread in Generous Sticks. In New York as in all other places, she spots the stranger something to eat. After wandering into Delaware, she finds Denis and a few other places without grass over the door in my search for a strong restaurant. I discovered another Italian restaurant on Third Avenue where I found one where the stranger purchased 75 reels at a time. I was among the crowd well from a financial standpoint but prepared by the Italian method with my Spent Macaron and your charitabie fried sausage and restulets. A great gastronomic extent and I eagerly up on the latter combination. The Gray Cat on the Hill. One morning I walked down Fourth Street trying to evade an apprehension fast. While reading the signs up the business house as is my custom, I encountered one Broad, The Case, Floor, Ground Kerns and Kindling Wort. There was a familiar appearance of buildings and its words had an unsettling vibration ventured to hope that this was the reason had been looking for it. I entered the opening door struck by bad weather to ring for the next minute. A girl appeared from a little back room, and a gray hair curl in front of each car her silver bowel appendix was visible on her head. She wore a long black coat. When I saw her first utter sound, I asked her if she would serve worm baited eggs, bread and butter, and milk. She said she could and indeed be waited in the little back room. All was the place. There was no one asleep in And Mary on her dining room floor. In Trinity Church, one other was a small rocking chair on its top an iron kettle which sat on a lentil time. A gray cat was sitting on a planted ring under the staircase with moon statue and nonnual apparatus on its nose from another corner. A copy of Dr. Avery's book being by a blue and white string from by the window on one wall being grazing of Washington crossing the Door ware. On another wall was a light-colored point representing impossible twin girls with very round faces, huge white shoes and buckled slippers. This picture was titled Margaret and Ann. Now this work of art was another to know. "up round Cleveland," but we could discover no mutual acquaintances. She asked me great many questions about myself. We discussed the relative merits of Ohio and New York, and agreed that Cleveland was a better town than New York, and that the state of Ohio knocked the spots all the state of New York. When I asked her what I loved heret my breakfast she said: "Let's see. There's a pint of milk, that's four cents; the bread and butter's three cents and the eggs is eight cents. That's fifteen cents." Fifteen cents? Think of it! I wished that I had the proprietor of the Everett house there just for a minute. — Chicago Times. High' Priceed Errors. A trafling error sometimes has a pretty serious result. Edmund Alton, in telling the readers of St. Nicholas about the way things that are done at Washington, says: "Some of these rolls received at the state department are designated byasures, interlineations and blots, by errors in orthography, capitalization and punctuation, and to his oglyphic 'mangling' that suggests the 'masterpieces' of school art. These and more serious imperfections once placed upon the parchment roll are law. However glaring the blunder, however mischievous the distortion or omission, the department is powerless to add a correcting dot or stroke. Mistakes made by congressional enrolling clerks have undone legislation accomplished by congress after hours of debate. An item of half a million dollars for public purposes was bodily left out in the enrollment of a recent appropriation act, and the substitution of a comma for a hyphen in transcribing a tariff measure some years ago caused a loss to the government of thousands of dollars before the error was detected and further loss arretried by the passage of another act. These are but specimen cases. It is humiliating to think that a sleepy or incompetent clerk should be able to frustrate the legislative will of a nation, and startling to reflect on the opportunities for fraud by deliberate tampering with the public rolls." The Verdict Unanimous W. D Salt, druggist, Bipnrs, Ind., testifies: "I can recommend Electric Bitters as the very best remedy. Every bottle sold has given relief in every case. One man took six bottles, and was cured of rheumatism of 10 years' standing." Abraham Harcock, druggist, Bellville, Ohio, affirms: "The best selling medicine I have ever handled in my 20 years' experience, is Electric Bitters." Thousands of others have added their testimony, so that the verdict is unanimous that Electric Bitters do cure all diseases of the Liver, Kidneys or Blood. Only a half dollar a bottle at Wm. M. Higgins' drugstore. NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS.
