The Weekly Gazette. IS OPEN EVERY TUESDAY Henry Murchel, Charles Murchel, Earrings are Preserving. THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 1854. OUR WATER WAR WILL NOON BE ENDED. The petition of our irrigators to be formed into a district under the Wright Act was dismissed without prejudice by the Board of Supervisors on Saturday. The reasons for its dismissal were defects in the description of boundaries, an error in fixing the amount of bonds, and an unavoidable misprint in the petition. The district will be immediately petitioned for again, and with defects remedied, reasonable proposals are entertained that our prayer will be granted. Had the same been properly presented it would have been granted without doubt on Saturday. Our county is just beginning to awaken to the fact that the Wright bill is not only a wise measure, but the greatest Act ever entered upon the statute books of the State. The greatest and most valuable enactment in the history of our legislature. Now that the people of Azaxa, why have been summoned in a water war for years, have decided the Wright Act not only applicable to their case but the light to guide them out of their darkness, together with the fact that Anheim is demanding its rights by the same bill, the Board of Supervisors will now to it before repeating a petition of this nature they will weigh well all the facts in the case. Pursuant with which an extra session of the Legislature called by Governor Stoneman for the express purpose of increasing the water could be nothing altering for any days in the presence of by the grane and good alarms of the Wright Act dead to all intents and purposes. This for weaning and amalgamation. Their convictions are imputed in the matter. They shall have an alarmism of water and alarm in the social distribution to all irrigators. There is enough for all Honeastary men of fighting for water which was due to us by the creation of the epipremnum and which would have been given up in aridity and reason analysis of pauperizing our people, but Honeastary are moving to prohibit never chilling filtration which shall be present shared by the grade this all worked benighted Act. Custom that adultery. The Constitution of the State are that examination is still upon us, always as high as possible of the water war will noon be ended. because their water has been so abundant in the past have they seen fit to refuse to look at possible complications in her lagoon. However, if we thought that irrigators in the valley were working in compliance with the York's rain, we could eat for a moment being ourselves to favor the prospect. We think the Wright Act will benefit the people of Yerba quite as much as irrigators in the valley. Their riparian rights will be succeeded by a solid water company with plenty of water willing and able to help them in any emergency. Their needs will be respected in like manner by the needs of the Dermets below them, and like a Christian capital capping the structure all irrigation will cease. We desire to be friends, not enemies. On next Monday our people will be called to vote upon the question of selling bonds to the extent of $10,000. We lend it furtherance of public improvements. We do not believe a single vote will be against the proposition. The bonds are easy of payment and will undoubtedly sell a premium. The improvements contemplated are an electric light system, development of our city water works, erection of a city hall, buildings of sidewalk etc. These matters that at present require urgent attention. No one will attempt to deny that we are ready in need of wide-scale and electric lights. We expect an influx of historic visitors during the coming winter. In order to create a favorable impression among them, we must see to it that current improvements are kept in part communicated with private business enterprise. More building is going on in Anhemb at great impressions before. In this past six months in this architectural buildings have been erected in a dozen years below. We must not throw things to waste. The town has already organized a small lot. Let us then consider in favor of the bonds and our striving and hostility a business begun with confidence. Let us have a city hall and water supply opened for you. We are informed that from state at Walla Walla Johnston commenced our work with Mr. Musselton main upon their trip to the Anhemb. The population paid by being sent from Amesbury may be probably parity from Honeastary. However, the attention drawn by Honeastary has Amesbury with the potential for success because their water has been so abundant in the past have they seen fit to refuse to look at possible complications in her lagoon. The whole responsibility of the future will rest on him. His perversity, as we know, should have taken this action. The party who can be punished some day is well battled now as later. It is better for all parties that Canada should emerge from the abnormal position it now occupies being really a nation yet not a nation having a foreign policy which it could to solve it out has to be carried out by a nation across the great expanse of land which are not responsible in any practical sense for itself, but for another country is really capable having just enough autonomy to involve itself in the war and yet having to rely on the most considerate to pull it through when its deficiencies become serious. As an independent nation Canada would probably be any excuse in calling upon American fishermen for the purpose of bringing hat and bait into New York. A country within Panama Webster announced uncontainable secrecy, has long been known to be one of the smallest of the world great cities has remained only on the threshold of its destiny. It was busy about a thirst and a half of people two millions. Its populations and wealth is publicized by every minute that passes here of from one end. It killed the insult of its power in a war where so many millions would impark the mischief within its borders. The compass of Japan is nearly the armadillo of California, has a similar diversity of soil and a corresponding climate; and its position is thirty or more millions. It may be in the nature of this great island with ever and sought fire. The areas of purity and pardon. The loss to the contempt. The Mississippi river has been heavily rained since the rapidity and shipped them in the western part of the city into islands. By miles long is in a fair way Hoppe were loaded one and a quarter mile from bright chimney was drowned. In the passage of the Chinese Exclusion bill the people of the Pacific coast have soared a great victory. It is one of the triumphs which leave no sling. While we are victors in the contest there are no winners. We have not won at the cost of our friends in the East. We fought their battle in fighting our own, and now have the satisfaction of knowing that the views we advanced are accepted by the $0,000,000 people beyond the Rocky mountains. We are informed that the citizens of Yerba have been to quite a considerable expense in their effort to keep out of our proposed irrigation district. Our informant averts that $700 was paid for compiling an abstract of their water rights back to a time antedating the "civilization of the State." Together with this item of expense is the attorneys' fees, which on last Saturday amounted to $1,000. Then there is the expense of traveling to the county seat, etc. Evidently our neighbors are determined not to be in our water district. Truth is stranger than fiction, so it is said, and this case would seem to show that the trite old adage has truth in it withal. We cannot help but wonder that two sections, whose interests are no closely allied, should be so diametrically opposed to any given proposition. Under the proposed irrigation district the people of Yerba will have as much water as they need at present, and their future wants will be supplied by a satisfactory development of the river's supply. Under a well-organized district their interests would be more generally subservient than could possibly be without organization. At a heavy camp meeting in Henry county in the extreme southwestern part of Alabama, seven negroes were killed by white men last Friday night. A special from Eafanla gives also following account of the affair: A negro camp meeting was held near the residence of a white man named Milburn, and a negro secured drinking water from his well. The Captain Mr. Milburn refused to allow the well to be longer used by the negro and took the bucket out of the well. When one of them came into Mr. Milburn's yard for water he was informed of his determination. The negro and he would have at least one hast bucket drawn, and started into the house for it. This was objected to, and the white man found his pistol and shot the negro in the back of the neck. At night a crowd came around the house and asked him to come out, which he refused to do. They then shot a great many holes in his door and went away. The following night the ring leaders of the negroes were visited by a crowd of unknown white men, and seven of them shot dead. No arrests have been made. CLEVELAND, Ohio, September 10. — Train No. 3, westbound on the New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio road, carrying G. A.E. veterans from Youngstown and vicinity to the National Encampment at Columbus, was wrecked at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at Rittman, a small station three miles from Wadsworth, Ohio. The train consisted of nine cars. The connecting rod of the motive, drawing the special, broke near Rittman, and after much difficulty the train was stopped on a curve. While writing for repairs a freight train, which had been following the special, thundered down the heavy grade at the rate of twenty-five miles an hour, and although warfare was given, was impossible to await abolition. The motive of the freight plugged into the coach of the special, worked four cars, resumed them being completely demolished. Three carriageists had noticed the impede- ment and all speeding in getting out us before the crash came, but as down the embankment they hurried upon them, when rolled down upon them, wrecked four killing four twenty-five o'clock.
