LATEST RAILROAD NEWS.
On the Eve of Important Developments.
Programmatic information and additional competition details Annex to be held off the Main Ameno on Santa Baja.
The force of graden on Anaheim and Olinda Railroad have been brought down to Anaheim and are now at work on street. The road has been graded through the streets and operations will be carried out from this road. The recent wet weather on the Richfield farm trust has made the ground so muddy that grading can not be pushed so well at this end. The grade should be completed in three weeks, if fair weather conditions, when the rail will be laid and depots built, and more running between Anaheim and Carlton in two months.
Negotiations are still pending on the part of the Southern Pacific company for its change of route in this immediate vicinity and on to San Diego. We hope to be able to speak definitely next week as to the matter. If the matters new under consideration by the company be carried into effect, as soon as possible, there will be much improvement in Anaheim and vicinity.
After leaving Anaheim the Southern Pacific now lies will cross the Santa Ana river at the old Travis crossing, touching at the southern boundary of Orange, where it makes a head and turns through the southern part of Modena and proceeds through McPearson to Tustin. Between this latter point and Santa Ana right of way has thus far been held at such high gauge that the railroad was deemed not to connect Santa Ana with its main line, but will run from Tustin up to San Diego. Property between Tustin and Santa Ana is valuable, and right of way only be obtained by the expenditure of about $15,000, which the railroad company refuse to pay. After leaving Tustin the Southern Pacific road will travel the route surveyed a year ago, and which is nearly parallel to the Atchison. This will be a dimestrous blow to Santa Ana, if it have only a spur from Anaheim. Being

It's safer for equipment. The little difficulty as we wish shall be here. Have been sufficiently adjusted and they are now enjoying a new environment.
San Francisco is expected back this week from Washington on his birthday the last two months, but who have patented and any new modeling that homes in Santa Ana. San Francisco is two days a plane for an airline and entertaining men as Charleston. He had come back to the land of bums.
Wood has been acquired that a land of census made by Menny McCallough. Then, Stanley, W. M. McCallough, J. K. Tombus, P. Henson, and Mrs. Henson, ran off the track near Prunts and was badly wrecked, almost totally destroying the land. When the fruit arrived in La Prunts it was in such a condition that the company would not receive them till the railroad adjourned an examination. It is hoped that the company will make good the loss.
The freight next from this station to Fair at Los Angeles it is said compared favorably with the host on exhibition from Rivera or any other place, and as the Anaheim table was decorated with flowers, enthralled and eggs was voted to be one of the most attractive tables there. Mr. Schanberger has taken a great deal of time and given plenty of hard work and spent considerable money in representing our section and advertising us so ably. The people should see that he is reimbursed his expenses at least.
If the Supervise had to cross the sandwich between here and Anaheim the last few days, they would no doubt give me some kind of relief in the way of a bridge across the wash. It was actually dangerous to cross last Saturday.

COMPANY G., TYPELESS
Into the State Militia at Last
Company name: New York Minute Bureau
The law is current matter or statute and the Legislature forms its own committee.
The Tyndale was mounted later State militia on last Saturday evening Keogee's Hall. Major L. S. Butler, wearing officer, accompanied by Major W. H. Renell, Major Servant Infantry Battalion, and Captain Stuart of C Company Reggae Corps of Los Angeles, composing Examiners Board, worn in attendance; for the company were return into the mail bound administration; the memorandum structures to the officers. Seventy-five comparing nearly all the prominent towns since about 10 o'clock Opener John Drillmaster of the company (the Captain having put in an apperance) gave the order to fall in. The hall was filled to eventing with spectators and young soldier Major Better read the order from Brigade headquarters empowering him to manage the company to be known as Company Seventh Infantry Regiment. After enacting the man upon the responsibility he would assume upon entering the State at this, the company proceeded to ballot four corsers. S. O. Wood was elected Captain, C. Gode First Lieutenant, and A. L. L Second Lieutenant. Considerable "selecturing" was indulged in during the event which fact served to draw out the available and competent men for office. The best of good feeling accompanied rivalry, however, and hearty handshakes resulted after each vote.
Company O is now a "Tall company" the State militia; and its renter is probably as large as any in the regiment. It is prized as good material as any company the State—no Major Better sold, and not correctly sent. Upon the Major's advice officers will were maintained for Colonel The Regiment. The company will move their arms paid it is understood that uniforms will be furnished immediately.
McPearson to Tustin. Between this latter point and Santa Ana right of way has thus been held at such high figures that the railroad has decided not to connect Santa Ana with its main line, but will run from Tustin to San Diego. Property between Tustin and Santa Ana is valuable, and right of way can only be obtained by the expenditure of about $15,000, which the railroad company refuse to pay. After leaving Tustin the Southern Pacific roadbed will traverse the route surveyed a year ago, and which is nearly parallel to the Atchison. This will be a dimorous blow to Santa Ana, if it have only a spur from Anahaim. Being out of the mean line of the Southern Pacific between Anahaim and San Diego it will accumulate the changing of passengers and freight at this port. Railroad officials have inspected the route between Anahaim and Tustin during the work and work will be commenced immediately.
The Anahaim negotiations are not yet completed but there is no doubt expressed on to the fact that the company have extensive improvements in hand to the north of town, as the Southern Pacific have to the south of me.
Both these roads have changes of renters in contemplation, as they are yet undocumented. As soon as they are complained they will be processed in those columns.
It will be seen that we are on the eve of most important railroad developments, which will be, when completed, of immense value to the entire valley. New towns will in all probability be laid out and placed upon the market. Meanwhile buyers of real estate are investigating the situation thoroughly and purchasing where a possible change of the railroad would play havoc with their investment. It is woodland to may the flourishing community in our near neighborhood will not be affected by these contemplated changes on the part of the railroad. On the contrary the reverse in the fact; they will indisputably be improved thereby.
The Atchison company have at last entered terminal facilities at San Francisco and it is given out that immediate work will be commenced on their route between Los Angeles and that city. This work together with their mammoth undertakings in this county will make important railroad changes in the entire State, and will retard especially to the benefit of the whole southern part of California. The Atchison company have their eye upon San Francisco as a terminal point for Northern California for a long time. The purchase by the Southern Pacific Company of Senator Fair's narrow gauge, together with his valuable water creations on the bay of San Francisco, which made the theater the money king of San Francisco and caused the remobilization of affairs in the Nevada Bank, is traceable to the efforts of the Atchison company to enter that Francisco. Whether this new railroad work will tax the Atchison management so much as to accommodate the postponing of their local operations is a matter which will be availed with interest by the entire people. If the railroad carry out all of their agreements on time it will be nothing less than a stagnant piece of railroad engineering, together with insufficient management.

Captain Starin complimented the company on the progress they had made and their efficient drill master; and assured that with a few months' more active work they would make a team hard to beatthe older companies of the brigade.
Majors Butter and Russell spoke at length about the long and apparently low struggle to have the Tyrolears admitted as a full company,a struggle in which finally came off victorious. They also explained how company came to be maintained in an "cadets"at first—that a mission of the Eagle Corps Cadet as a full company left a vacancy in the cadet rankwhich was ordered filled by the administration of the Anahheim Tyrolears; then after that master is suddenly carried to mindthe officers at headquarters that a body man, fifteen or more of whom were six feet tall and over, and some of whom had arrived in the army, could not be "cadets,"that under nineteen years of age,and thin linked rather gloomy for the Tyrolears.was then determined to make a bold fighthave them admitted as a full company, andthe tight never caused untilthe battle wren.

PANY G. TYROLEERS.
To the State Militia at Last
Tyrolean were mounted into the militia on last Saturday evening at Kane Hall. Major L. S. Butler, commander, accompanied by Major W. H. Smith, Major Second Infantry Battalion and Captain Starr of C Company, Corps of Los Angeles, comparing the rising Board, was in attendance. A company were even into the militia, and administered the monetary issue to the officers. Seventy-five men, nearly all the prominent home and of the community, were enrolled. The Citrus Fair.
Anaheim exhibit at the Citrus Fair recently held in Los Angeles was one of the finest in the pavilion, and the only display made by the county. Too much credit cannot be bestowed upon Frank Schumburger for his antitering energy and pain.
The Los Angeles Herald says: "Too much credit cannot be bestowed upon Anaheim, the sole representative of Los Angeles county in the hall. She set up a most attractive display of her products, which had to ask odds of anything in the hall. Mr. P. U. Schumburger worked like a unifier to accomplish his purpose, and Anaheim should present him with a civic crown as a testimonial for his services to the town."
The Evening Express remarks: "What seemed to disappoint a great number of visitors was the unegre display of citrus products made by this county. Anaheim's exhibit alone represented Los Angeles, but of such magnificent nature was the display made by the parent colony that it did a deal to make amends for the smashing lack of interest in the exhibitions on the part of the many growers of citrus fruits in the county."
